SBM-NMIMS Mumbai offers a Full time 2 Year MBA Program in Human Resource. The USP of the program lies in its design and delivery of core courses, sector specific inputs, skill building workshops and a strategic partnership with the world’s largest HR association SHRM. Students get benefit from the partnership with SHRM.

The MBA-HR Programme at NMIMS Mumbai comprises of 39 courses across six trimesters. There are 15 Workshops in six semesters and are conducted focusing on HR trends in sectors such as Manufacturing, BFSI, Retail, IT and others. Inputs on HR practices are highlighted through a series of guest sessions, project work and seminars. Seminars in this category are compulsory and non credit.

The program also includes summer internship for 8-10 weeks in which students undergo full time intensive training with industry under the guidance of a project guide and a faculty guide. Consulting assignments are given to the students from different companies in the area of HR. Sector Specific Inputs are derived through continuous interactions with Business and HR leaders along with doing live corporate projects in multiple sectors like Automobile, IT, BFSI, FMCG and Pharma, Business Advisory, HR Consulting, Telecommunications, Retail (Brick and Mortar and E-commerce). 

Business Research Workshops and Dissertation are conducted to enhance skills of opportunity recognition, problem identification and solving, critical thinking and ability to work independently. A Workshop and a Course on HR Analytics along with an enhanced focus on data and analytics in every course is offered. Besides the programme has Capstone- the Business Simulation
 

NMIMS SBM Mumbai MBA Pharmaceutical Management programme curriculum is spread over two years and is divided in six Trimesters. The programme offers specialization in key areas. 

The first year of the programme is divided in three Trimesters and covers 61.5 Credits from total 33 courses. There are Value added workshops (Non Credit) on Taking a Brand OTC; Career Planning, and Corporate Compliance. In the second year, students will focus on various specialization areas from Trimester IV to VI. The second year covers 52.5 Credits from total 28 courses. Students spend 8 weeks of summer Internship with Pharmaceutical, Medical Communication or Medical Devices Companies.

Every week, in addition to academics, one full day is devoted to fieldwork in every trimester involving visits to Doctors, Patients, Retailers, Wholesalers, Medical Sales Representatives and Area Sales Managers. In the first year, over 18 field projects are carried out as part of experiential learning. Total Field work exceeds 180 hours and requires an additional 100 hours of data analysis. Students carry out multiple projects throughout the two years, both as a part of their curriculum and for the corporates.

The key specialization areas in MBA Pharmaceutical Management include Communication, Economics, Finance, Human Resource and Behavioral Sciences,
Business Environment and Strategy, Information System, Marketing, Operations and Decision Sciences.

The pedagogic approach includes Lectures, Case-discussions, mainly Harvard and Indian cases developed by NMIMS faculty, Live experiential outbound learnings, Workshops, Role plays, Video-based discussions and field work which are extensively incorporated in this programme to impart knowledge and skills.

NMIMS SBM Mumbai MBA Health Care Management programme curriculum is spread over two years and is divided in six Trimesters of 12 weeks each. It has five trimesters of course work and one trimester of practical residency (internship) with Healthcare centric institutions. NMIMS SBM Mumbai MBA HCM programme is built on principles of strategic problem-solving and innovation and aims to develop the business acumen, leadership potential along with analytical, technical, and management skills required to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness, and integration of health and Healthcare organizations and systems.

The first year of the programme is divided in three Trimesters and covers 54 Credits from total 19 courses. In the second year, students will focus on various specialization areas from Trimester IV to VI. The second year covers 48 Credits from total 14 courses including internship. SBM-NMIMS Mumbai offers a Full time 2 Year MBA Program in Business Analytics. MBA BA at NMIMS Mumbai has comprehensive curriculum consisting of globally benchmarked additional reading materials like HBR cases and uniquely designed assignments to promote practical rigor in every subject. The programme offers electives across various domains that are highly industry-relevant, intricately linked to job requirements and include the latest tools and techniques utilized by various industries on global platforms. The program offers opportunities for relevant industry projects and internships across different domains with a focus on analytics.

The two years of NMIMS MBA BA programme is divided into six trimesters – three in year 1 and three in year 2. In the first year of MBA BA program, students have to cover compulsory 60 credits from 25 courses followed by 10 weeks of Summer Internship which does not carry any Credit.  

In the second year, students have to cover 42 compulsory credits across 17 courses. From the Trimester IV to VI, students have to participate in five Non Credit compulsory workshops.  Besides there are four electives to choose from in the second year.

SBM-NMIMS Mumbai offers a Full time 2 Year MBA Program in Digital Transformation. MBA DT at NMIMS Mumbai has comprehensive globally benchmarked curriculum. The MBA DT program at NMIMS caters to the market need, by producing leaders who not only understand management, business processes and emerging technologies, but also how these technologies can be leveraged to achieve business goals. The graduates of this programme are groomed at NMIMS to  essentially play the role of digital change agents or digital translators, who can drive digital transformation initiatives within an organisation, by liaising with both business team and technology team.

The MBA DT courses are spread across 6 trimesters, and cut across every  digital  technology, from  analytics to  blockchain to  IoT and cybersecurity. The curriculum also focuses on building management fundamentals, by incorporating courses spanning areas of strategy marketing, HRM, economics, operations, and communication. A wide-array of electives which are industry-specific and technology-specific, are offered in the programme. Students can choose these electives based on their  aspirations and interests.

The  programme also weaves in a 12-16 weeks industry immersion exercise, in the form an industry-driven  internship. It provides a forum for students, to understand the business processes first-hand, and experience how technology-driven transformations are planned and executed.

The pedagogy is discussion-oriented for most of the management courses, wherein sessions are typically driven by students based on case-studies and/or use-cases, with faculty playing the role of facilitators. For technology-oriented courses, the sessions are hands-on, with students working on market relevant tools viz., Python, UiPath, Tableau, SQL and so on.

NMIMS SBM PhD programme students have to undertake 270 hours of coursework spread over eighteen months. Each course has multi component evaluation including continuous assessment and final evaluation. After completion of the entire coursework the student will need to appear and clear a comprehensive examination to be eligible to form the Thesis Advisory Committee and subsequent proposal defence. 

The goal pf PhD programme is to ensure that students are prepared to undertake research with some help from the guide. This is one of the global best practices adopted by top research universities. The students are assessed on a rubric-based system and are given two opportunities to pass the examination. Failing which the student will have to quit the programme.

Students can undertake research work leading to award of PhD in the areas of Business Policy and General Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Behavioral Sciences, Operations and Data Sciences and Economics. 

MBA Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management course offered by NMIMS Mumbai Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management has a dynamic curriculum designed in conjunction with academics and industry practitioners. It provides the students with the opportunities to master new skills and explore varied perspectives, through the case study method as its chief pedagogical tool to bring to the classroom real-world business scenarios.

NMIMS MBA Entrepreneurship & Family Business curriculum is divided in two years. The first year curriculum is based on Core courses followed by summer internship while the second year courses also include specialization courses.

The MBA Entrepreneurship & Family Business Program at NMIMS is a 2 year full time UGC recognized MBA programme. The programme offers specialization in Entrepreneurship, and Family Business Management in its final year. 

IIM Shillong PGP curriculum make you dive into a challenging, rigorous and holistic program that chisels you in time-tested management principles as well as current best practices. You also get the exposure to evolve next generation practices through active interaction with industry on a continuous basis. The PGP program blends core courses and elective courses spread over six terms in two years with a two -month internship at the end of year one. 

Choice of specialization is offered in second year. You can choose the subject of your choice with a Course of independent Study. A general management perspective with the Capstone courses is offered to enable you to lead an economically and ecologically sustainable world.

To further enrich the experience of the participants, the curriculum is supplemented by visits to foreign universities with a view to enabling understanding of business management from different cultural perspectives. Visits to industries in those countries are also a part of the Programme. The International Immersion is optional module.

IIM Shillong12 month PGPEX curriculum comprises of diverse modules including Foundation, Functional, Language, Electives (Specialization), Integrative courses, International Immersion Module, Work shop and Innovative Camp. 

While the program participants have to visit a foreign land for in-company projects, visit a partner institution with similar program objectives, and earn credits as part of the global curriculum, the Innovative Camp will cover  Entrepreneurship, 
Management Consultancy,  Identifying New Business Models/Plans. 

The international module of the program in the past has been facilitated by inputs and knowledge sharing by faculty from Fudan University, China; Ocean University, China; University of Newcastle, Australia; EM Lyon Business School, France; IE Business School, Spain. The program participants in the past have spent substantial time understanding the distinctiveness of innovations, business practices, and management styles in China. In 2023, the batch visited Barcelona, Spain, attended classes at EADA Business School, and completed five courses. They also visited multiple industries, undertook live projects in four reputed European companies, and presented business solutions to CXOs.”

The commitment to the Doctoral program is four years which includes an enriching research focused, out-put oriented course work. The scholars are expected to complete the program in four years and ensure that they complete the requirements of the program within this stipulated time. However, the candidates who are unable to complete the program within the stipulated time may be allowed to continue in the program depending upon their progress. After completion of four years into the program an extension of two years may be granted subject to approval from the Doctoral Committee.

In the first year, the structure of course work comprises core, flexi-core, and research based courses leading to an understanding of management discipline, building theoretical foundations in the core area, develop basic skills for analyzing managerial problems and instill research interest. In their second year, the scholars will undergo Term-IV courses. As part of Term-IV courses, the scholar will undertake two credits from the PGP Basket of electives in consultation with their supervisors. The participant will start working on the primary research problem of the PhD thesis under the guidance of the Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC).

From third year onwards, the doctoral dissertation work provides them with an opportunity to make original contributions to an area of management or to one of its disciplines. The scholar is expected to work towards presenting papers at a conference, journal publications and other scholarly contributions. The candidate will have to prepare and submit the doctoral thesis and then submit the duly modified thesis for evaluation. Every scholar is expected to work at least 10 hours every week during the third and fourth year as Research/Teaching Assistant with a faculty member
