The Two Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Research & Business Analytics) programme comprises of six trimesters. During the first year, the emphasis is primarily on basic courses to build a foundation of conceptual and analytical skills, required for pursuing specialized study in various functional areas. The basic courses include subjects covering the multiple domains of management such as Statistics, Spreadsheet Modeling, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Communication, etc. Students are required to secure minimum CGPA of 5.00 for promotion to the second year. In addition to this, student should not have more than three FGrades.
PGDM Student connect programme is offered before the commencement of regular classes to help incoming candidates cope with the rigours of PGDM Programme by offering courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in different domains) & PGDM Curriculum.
Each student is required to undertake summer internship in a company of repute for the duration of 8-10 weeks as part of the course curriculum after the third trimester examination. The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (General) programme consists of six trimesters. The course structure has been designed to ensure that the management graduates of LBSIM develop a judicious blend of strategic thinking, tactical implementation, specialized knowledge and general management skills. In the first year, the focus is primarily on basic courses, to build a foundation of conceptual and analytical skills, required for pursuing specialized study in various functional areas. The students have to take 21 core courses and undertake Summer Training at the end of the year. The students may also have the opportunity to take a foreign language as an optional course.

The MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management programme at IIM Bodh Gaya consists of a total of minimum 108 credits. In the first year, students will undergo the core courses. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
IIM Visakhapatnam offers 5 years full time PhD Program. It is a research-intensive doctoral program aimed at imparting high-quality training in research.

IIMV PhD Program comprises of two phases Coursework and Thesis work. The phase-1 of Course work covers the first year of the programme. Successful completion of the first phase requires passing the Comprehensive Examination (Written & Viva) at the end of the first academic year. a student is required to take 18-credit courses over this period.
On completion of Phase 1, the students begin thesis work consisting of a thesis proposal and a final thesis-evaluation. The area concerned can decide on the combination of PGP and PhD courses to be offered in year, subject to the minimum requirements. so that the student completes 27 credits before the comprehensive qualifying examination.

IIM Visakhapatnam currently has more than thirty faculty members who steer all the academic activities of the Institute. The eligibility criteria for admission into the Program are:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent).

- At the time of the interview, employed candidates will be required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employers
- Final selection will be made based on a composite score comprising the performance in the Admission Test, nature and extent of work experience, SOP and Interview. The composite total score will be calculated using a multi-factor model

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
IIM Bodh Gaya 2 years full time residential MBA is the flagship management programme of the institute. IIM Bodh Gaya MBA programme is designed to enhance students with a strong awareness and knowledge about the socio-economic environment both at national and global level. The objective is to bring into being a Global Manager not only with strong analytical and decision making skills but an overall personality with socially enviable values and ethics. To achieve the aforesaid objective, the course curriculum is designed to use a range of audio-visual based teaching methodologies like case studies, real life problem solving exercises, role-play, group discussion and computer simulation based contents.
The subjects taught as part of the compulsory and elective courses in the MBA programme endows students with a strong foundation in management education. Compulsory core courses are intended to envelop the key concepts, analytical skills and latest tools & technologies employed in foremost business areas as well as innovation-led strategy targeted across disciplines.
Application process for MBA admission at IIM Bodh Gaya opens with the start of CAT registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. There is no need to apply and pay separately for IIM Bodh Gaya Admission at this stage.
Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA program at IIM Bodh Gaya is through CAT Exam and IIM CAP PI round. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA at IIM Bodh Gaya is a three-step process- Pre shortlisting, Shortlisting, and participation in IIM CAP PI round or IIM Bodh Gaya SAP round
In the first step, candidates are screened as per the IIM Bodh Gaya admission policy on performance in CAT exam and in the second step they are considered on various parameters for shortlisting for Common Admission Process (CAP) comprising Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. After the PI round, IIM Bodh Gaya prepares merit list for final admission as per its final selection weightages. Detailed Admission process is as below:
The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for CAP round which is the common PI round for 10 CAP participating IIMs. Candidates Not qualifying for CAP round are given the opportunity to register for SAP (Supplementary Admission Process) which is also PI round for IIM Bodh Gaya and get shortlisted at reduced CAT score.
Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and have their interest and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
In addition to the Common Admission Process, IIM Bodh Gaya will conduct an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates who meet IIM Bodh Gaya PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet the CAP cut off criteria. Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) is conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya and two other CAP participating third generation IIMs for the candidates who have not been shortlisted and have not been able to participate in Common Admission Process (CAP). The shortlisting criteria for SAP have a lower CAT cut off (91%ile in 2024) than applied for CAP round (94%ile in 2024) .
After the PI round, IIM Bodh Gaya will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Bodh Gaya to successful candidates.
The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in CAP round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a master’s degree program of 2 years duration. EMBA is designed with the objective of imparting management education to working executives seeking skills and strategies to make their organizations perform well.
The program is offered on an Interactive Learning (IL) platform in a blended mode. The specific objectives of the Program are to help participants to understand the demands and challenges of modern business organizations; enhance knowledge in functional management domains; Sharpen skills in diagnostic, analytical and decision-making tools, and techniques; Contribute to organizational development with greater competence and confidence.

EMBA program is of 2 years duration and is offered in blended mode of Online and class room sessions. Total number of 36 courses are included in the programme curriculum. Total number of Programme Hours are 740 (1st year – 360 Hours, 2nd year – 380 Hours). Classes will be conducted on weekends from 9 AM to 5.00 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 3.30 PM on Sunday. Apart from the online sessions, the programme will have 2 in-campus modules of five days each at IIM Visakhapatnam.
A mix of evaluation elements would vary from course to course as decided by the course faculty. Each course would have an end term examination apart from Quizzes, Projects, Assignments, Class participation. The End term examinations would be conducted in Bennett Coleman & Co. (BCCL) Centres spread across the country.
The program curriculum covers all the important domains of management in year one. At the end of the first year the participants will be equipped with a sound understanding of all functional areas of management like Marketing, Economics, Finance, Human Resource, Information Systems, Production and Operations, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship.
