The PGPMX comprises of a rigorous curriculum, exposes participants to experiential learning, and provides avenues for creative collaborations with their peers, faculty, and their organizations. The PGPMX is similar in content and rigor to our regular Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the classes are facilitated and taught by the same faculty. The objective of the programme is to provide participants with a platform to enhance their knowledge base, and hone their skills and competencies to grow higher in their career and to be a leader in their organizations.

The PGPMX innovative approach, need-based curriculum, powerful experiential learning, and experienced faculty deliver an integrated learning experience that is powerful enough to make a positive impact on the managerial career of the participants by maintaining high academic standards that is not just career-altering, but life-changing.

Academic input is delivered through two types of courses: core courses and elective courses. Core courses (Term 1 to 3) are compulsory for all participants. They provide participants with the fundamental conceptual knowledge, analytical skills and techniques, contextual understanding, environmental awareness and overall perspective, which serve as the base for the programme. The elective courses, which are offered in the second year (Term 4 to 6), give participants a deeper understanding of different functional areas and enable them to specialize in areas of their choice.

The first three years of 5 years IPM programme focus on various management courses in undergraduate programme including Business Economics, Statistics, Ethics, Management theory and practice, Political science, Psychology, Public Policy, Governance among others. Industry visits, case study, interactive sessions, corporate internships are the key pedagogical tools of teaching. The last two years courses are same as that of IIM Indore flagship 2 years PGP programme. IIM Indore offers nine specialization areas to choose from, namely Economics, Finance & Accounting, Information systems, Marketing, Organization behavior & Human Resources, Operation management & Quantitative Techniques, Strategy, Communications, Humanities & Social Sciences 

IIM Indore students participate in a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities which include IRIS (The Annual Management & Cultural Festival) and Utsaha (Rural Marketing Fair). IIM Indore has exchange tie-ups with several prestigious international business schools. IIM Indore conducts Himalaya outbound programme for the final year students to enable them to perform in an unfamiliar ambience and work as a team. Rural immersion programme is conducted to enable the participants to understand the social context in which organizations work and exist. 
Students visit a company once a week in the fourth year of the Programme. They are required to carry out a study on various industries and key players in the industry. A unique matrix based structure in final year wherein participants take 10% credits in ‘Industry Vertical Courses’ and 10% credits in ‘Functional Area Courses’ in addition to the general management credits.  

FMS Delhi MBA course structure is closely aligned with the contemporary business requirements. FMS MBA Course is of 2 years duration and is divided in four semesters. The key focus area in FMS MBA Curriculum is on producing managers with sound fundamentals. 

Two Pillars of FMS MBA Curriculum
FMS MBA curriculum rests on two pillars. The first one is providing a strong analytical foundation in key functional areas, and the second one is enabling a high degree of academic flexibility, thereby allowing students to customize their MBA experience. 

FMS MBA Curriculum: Year 1
The first year of MBA programme introduces students to the essential models and tools, with a focus on rigorous training in the diverse disciplines in management and the development of a strong foundation of business knowledge and management theory. The year concludes with a rigorous Summer Internship programme which allows students to explore practical application of the management concepts. 

FMS MBA Curriculum: Year 2
In the second year, the students decide on their professional development plans by reflecting on their first year’s learning and Summer Internship experiences. This experience is augmented by interactions with an eclectic mix of world-renowned faculty and corporate luminaries who together teach core and elective courses. 

IIM Lucknow PGP curriculum is divided in six terms spread over two years. The First Year academic work, spread over three terms, is a compulsory package of 22 foundation (core) courses designed to provide basic knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques in various functional areas and relevant disciplines.

The two-month compulsory Summer Training in industrial and business organisations follows the first year course work. The summer training is aimed at providing exposure to the real life working environment. Students are required to work on specific, time-bound organisation related assignments.

The Second Year academic work, spread over three terms, comprises two compulsory courses of integrative nature along with a package of 15 elective courses of advanced and applied nature.
In the second year of the PGP Programme in Management, IIM Lucknow offers choice of Specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance & Accounts, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, IT & Systems, Business Environment, Communication, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, General Management.

IIM Lucknow PGP students have the opportunity to choose and participate in two workshops in their sixth semester. The students can register for two elective workshops from the list below: Sports Marketing – Marketing Area; Qualitative Market Research–Marketing Area; Framing Identity and Role through Exploration – HR area; Business of Entertainment – General Management; Capstone Business Simulation – General Management; Risk Management – Finance area; Personal Finance and Retail Banking – Finance area; Behavioral Finance – Finance Area

The curriculum of PGP ABM at IIM Lucknow is divided into six terms spread over two years. The First Year academic work, spread over three terms, is a compulsory package of 22 foundation (core) courses designed to provide basic knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques in various functional areas and relevant disciplines.

The Second Year academic work, spread over three terms, comprises two compulsory courses of integrative nature along with a package of 15 elective courses of advanced and applied nature. These provide students the opportunity to develop in depth understanding and concentration in the areas of their special interest. The students can also take up to two Courses of Independent Study (CIS) as elective, or one Dissertation Project which is equivalent to two elective courses spread over Term-V and Term-VI.

The specialization area of Agri Business Management covers sub specializations in Agri Marketing, Rural Marketing, Agri Finance among others

IIM Calcutta PGPX VLM curriculum is divided into 8 terms and more than 1170 classroom contact hours, spread across 3 campuses during the 12 month period. It starts with an “Ice breaking session and Breakthrough Management” in IIM-Calcutta with a thrust on the "Big Picture" perspective. The primary focus lies on how to build a strategy based on core competencies and then to integrate an organization to execute this strategy and achieve the desired outcome.

The next two terms impart management knowledge in diverse areas ranging from Business Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Operations, People Management and Global Business scenario. Various modules on Supply Chain Management, Customer-centric approach, Lean methodologies, New Product Design & Development, SAP ERP, ISO 9001: Auditor training and some high-end technology related courses like Advanced Materials, Robotics, Ergonomics are taught in IIT-Kanpur and IIT-Madras campuses. The final term at IIM-Calcutta puts special emphasis on Leadership and Change Management with key focus on building an Entrepreneurial and Innovative culture. The terms also stress on the needs and nuances of Ethics and Ethical behaviour for today’s managers who compete a rapidly globalizing world.

The program’s learning methods are an assortment of regular class discussions, case studies, group work, live presentations and action-learning opportunities like management games and short consultancy assignments. A significant proportion of the program is undertaken in teams to further enhance the dynamic learning experience.

PGPEX VLM has 36 weeks of classroom study which includes lectures, case studies, tutorials, lab sessions, videos, individual and team assignments, guest lectures from Japanese faculty, industry experts, and business leaders, totaling 1173 interaction hours. The programme has 1 week of industry visit in Japan for studying Best Manufacturing Practices under the aegis of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program has a proper balance of theoretical inputs and practical training to develop a high degree of leadership skill which would enable Indian companies convert manufacturing into a competitive weapon. The program introduces courses on Green Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IOT) along with ISO9001 Lead Auditor Training.

The program attracts promising engineers from the manufacturing and allied businesses, who have the potential for top management positions.
 

IIM Calcutta Doctoral Programme offers specializations in Economics, Finance & Control, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behaviour, Public Policy and Management, Strategic Management, Operations Research & Systems Analysis, Regional Development, and Sociology.
Upon joining the programme, students go through coursework in 6 terms spread across 2 academic years and complete at least 90 credits. The academic group that a student joins is treated as the Major area of specialization.

In the first year, students take up at least 15 compulsory credit courses (includes 2 compulsory courses on research methods [qualitative and quantitative], for groups requiring students to do these courses in the first year) and 1 compulsory non-credit course in Qualifying Mathematics. In the second year, students have to take 8 courses in major area (out of which at least six should be doctoral-level advanced courses; if a student has already taken any doctoral-level course in the first year, he/she needs to take the remaining number of doctoral-level advanced courses in the second year out of total six). Minimum of 3 doctoral courses of 3 credits each offered by any academic groups (or mix thereof) other than his/her group of specialization should be taken. Besides, 2 compulsory doctoral level courses on research methods (qualitative and quantitative), for academic groups deciding students to do these courses in the second year should be taken. Students are required to take at most two term papers (in lieu of courses) of which at least one term paper must be in the major area.

In the summer vacation at the end of first year, students undertake a project/research work which is treated as equivalent to 2 credit courses.

The qualifying CGPA for first year is 5.5 while that for the whole period of coursework is 6.0. Students failing to meet the cut-off CGPA are required to withdraw from the programme. After successful completion of coursework, students take a CQE (Comprehensive Qualifying Examination) administered by the respective academic group. Upon successful completion of CQE, a student moves into the thesis or dissertation phase. 

Students are required to attend a teaching practicum. Students are required to take up Teaching Assistantship over the tenure of Fellowship for at least one diploma course offered by the academic group.

The MBA Business Analytics (PGPBA) at IIM Bangalore programme offers Core and Elective courses. Core courses are compulsory courses offered in the first year and second year. Elective courses are offered in the second year, where students get the opportunity to choose from a basket of multidisciplinary courses and courses with functional depth in Analytics. 

IIMB courses are delivered through a combination of lectures, classroom discussions, industry interactions, case analyses, individual and group projects, term papers, role plays, dissertations, simulations, business games, films, and various experiential learning methods. During the first year, a PGP-BA student is required to undertake eighteen core courses (totalling 49.5 credits). The first year consists of three terms, Summer internship programme is scheduled between the end of first year and the beginning of second year with a firm in the Analytics domain. Internship is optional for students who have at least 34 months of work experience prior to enrolling for the programme.

The PGP-BA student should take the four core courses in Term IV and at least four electives (12 credits) in the analytics domain (labelled as field electives) across Terms IV, V and VI. The remaining credits can be taken from either the analytics domain (field elective) or any other general management electives (free electives). A PGP-BA student should earn a minimum of 45 credits and a maximum of 51 credits in the second year. 

The electives cover a wide array of topics including Social Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure Development, PPPs and Regulation, Business Analytics and Intelligence, Spreadsheet Model-Business Decision, Current Economic Scenario; Indian Economy and Policy Matters for Business, Global Securities Markets, Corporate Governance: Indian and International Perspective, Corporate Valuation, Digital Marketing, Research for Marketing Decisions, Brand Management, Entrepreneurship in Action, Personal Values, Goals and Career Options, Creating High Performance Organizations, Supply Chain Management, Technology and Operations Strategy, Green Business Management, Strategic Thinking and Decision Making Apart from electives on functional areas, IIMB also offers different types of courses such as language courses (German, French, Spanish and Japanese), courses with international immersion (like Business Planning in International Markets, Developing Technology Partnerships between Firms in India and Israel), and experiential courses (like the Himalayan Mountain Challenge and Motorcycle Immersion in Local Entrepreneurial Settings), based on the interest of students.

IIMB PhD students actively engage with its world class faculty work at the cutting edge of research, teaching, and implementation of management research. The PhD programme at IIMB has two main phases: an initial phase of coursework aimed at providing breadth and depth in management disciplines, and a subsequent phased focused on development of the doctoral dissertation under the guidance of a dissertation advisory committee. Periodic milestones are inbuilt in the programme to ensure timely progress towards the degree.

The programme duration is 5 years and has two phases: coursework and thesis research. The first phase covers the first two years and includes the following components: (a) coursework (b) independent study (c) a summer research project at the end of the first academic year. Successful completion of the first phase requires passing the Comprehensive Examination (written and viva) at the end of the second academic year. 

The student then begins the second phase focused on the dissertation research. The dissertation work which takes roughly three years has milestones such as formation of Dissertation Advisory Committee, Dissertation Proposal Defense, Dissertation Submission, Dissertation Evaluation, and Public Defense of Dissertation. 
Doctoral students also work as a Research Assistants (RA) and Teaching Assistants (TA) periodically during various stages of the Doctoral Programme. Students are expected to graduate at the convocation at the end of their fifth year in the programme.

IIM Bangalore BBA DBE provides a fusion of digital and management fundamentals and an entrepreneurial mindset that will help generate self-motivated, self-learning graduates capable of taking up challenging jobs that industries undergoing digitization require. Year wise curriculum with BBA programme outcome is detailed below:

Year-1: Certificate of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship.

In the first year the student will learn the business foundation courses and digital technologies. If he/she prefers to exit from the BBA programme after one year, the student will be awarded Certificate of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship

Year-2: Diploma of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship
In the second year the student will learn the digital business models and formulation of business plans. However, even if he/she prefers to exit from the BBA programme after second year, the student will be awarded Diploma of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. 

Year-3: Degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship
The third and final year will equip the student with key foundations of business strategies and how to move forward in the business world with digital technologies. After third year, the student will be awarded Degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. After completion of three year BBA DBE course,  the students will be able to develop and implement comprehensive strategies for digital businesses; Utilize advanced digital technologies to drive business innovation and growth; Lead digital transformation initiatives in a variety of business environments.
