MDI Gurgaon Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship programme of MDI Gurgaon. The two-year full-time MDI PGDM programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree of an Indian University. MDI Gurgaon PGDM is consistently rated among India’s top 10 MBA programmes in India.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM admission can be divided into following stages:
- The candidates seeking admission to MDI Gurgaon PGDM programme must appear in CAT exam
- Then, candidate should apply separately for MDI admission. MDI 2027 application process will open in September 2026. Last year, applications were open from 25th September 2025, till November 28, 2025.
- Shortlisting of candidates for the GDPI process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT and GMAT scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews at a center in Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.
- The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience, and social diversity etc as per weightages given in Table below.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM curriculum is structured over six terms of about three months each, spread across two academic years. The first four terms cover the core courses, with the majority completed in the initial three terms, providing students with a strong foundation in management. After Term 3, every student undertakes a compulsory summer internship of eight to ten weeks to gain practical exposure. In the second year, students can choose elective courses to specialize in up to two functional areas from Accounting & Finance, Operations Management, Marketing, Strategy, or Information Management. MDI Gurgaon follows a continuous evaluation system, where students earn letter grades in each course, and the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is computed as the credit-weighted average of all grade points earned. MDI Gurgaon curriculum is constantly revised on an ongoing basis with practitioner input.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM teaching methods include lectures, case studies, seminars, assignments, live pro-jects, group discussions, business games, outbound based experiential learning activities, educational excursions, role plays, simulation exercises, group work, and field visits.

Step 2: Complete CAT Registration & Personal Details
On the next page, you need to fill information on CAT registration number and personal details with address.
Step 3: Upload Photo & Signature
After completing your entrance exam details and personal details, now you should upload your photo and signature of required size as below.
Step 4: Fill Your Work Experience
The next step is to fill your work experience details. All the details should be correct else your candidature may be cancelled.

Step 6: Document Details
The required documents are to be uploaded on this page of requisite size like copy of Identification, Class 10, 12 and graduation marksheet/degree among others.
MDI Gurgaon application fees is Rs. 3,000, inclusive of 18% GST. Candidates can select all the MDI programmes they wish to apply for, and pay the fees online.

MDI Gurgaon eligibility criteria for PGDM Admission have following key points:
- The candidate must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
- The applicant must have also scored a minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in class 10 and 12.
- Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply to the PGDM Program.

MDI final selection process for admission 2027-2029 batch of the PGDM / PGDM-HRM / PGDM-IB / PGDM-Business Analytics is a multi-stage process.
- MDI Gurgaon shortlists candidates for the WAT-GD-PI process on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT 2026 scores.
- Stage-I MDI shortlisting: MDI Gurgaon shortlists candidates for the WAT-GD-PI round based on multiple parameters, with the CAT score carrying the highest weightage of 70%. Academic performance in Class 10, 12, and Graduation collectively contributes 15%, while work experience (10%), academic diversity (2.5%), and gender diversity (2.5%) ensure a balanced and inclusive selection process.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interviews between February and April 2027 at a center in one of the following cities: Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

- O.P. Jindal scholarship of INR 1,50,000 for second year students.
- At the end of the second year, MDI Gurgaon awards five merit scholarships of INR 10, 000/- each to the top five students.
- MDI Gurgaon offers merit-cum-means Scholarship scheme for the meritorious students to pursue PGDM courses at MDI Gurgaon belonging to economically weaker Sections (EWS). MDI provides 12 merit cum means scholarships (50% waiver of tuition fees) every year to the students pursuing two-year full time PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics at MDI Gurgaon starting from AY 2021-22.

The MBA-PGPX is meant for working professionals with a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of experience. Following are the basic criteria for the PGPX Application:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India i.e. 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.)
- Minimum Age of 25 years as on March 31, 2025 (i.e. must be born on or before March 31, 2000.) There is no upper age limit.
- A valid GMAT /GRE score. Exam taken within the last 5 years. Online GMAT/GRE (Take home) exam scores are not valid, only test centre-based GMAT/GRE scores are valid.
- Minimum 4 years of full-time work experience after completion of graduation as on March 31, 2025

Scholarships are available for underrepresented gender, transgender students, international passport holders, students having spent significant time in the armed forces, central/state/local government, not for profit sector.
