    Check Shortlist which will be based on the entrance exam score
  • Candidates should appear for the RVIM Aptitude test & Personality Skill test (Essay Test) online within two days of paying the application fee. Curriculum

The curriculum of the MBA programme at RVIM has been structured in a way that gives our students the right blend of scholastic knowledge and practical experience. The course also includes eight hours of skill advancement sessions per week to develop core, entrepreneurial, and life skills. The entire curriculum is designed to enable even students from other disciplines to intuitively grasp management fundamentals.

Theoretical lessons are complemented with outbound training, workshops, industrial visits, industry interactions, and management fests to create a personalised, practical, and flexible learning experience for our students

On completion of the programm students will be capable of innovating, starting new entrepreneurial ventures and be a lifelong learner with multidisciplinary research aptitude. Following steps are included in the KSOM MBA Admission process:

Step-1: Apply and appear in KIITEE Management (No Need to Apply separately for KSOM MBA Admission)
Step-2: Apply and appear in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT after publication of result and Apply separately to KSOM MBA Admission
Step-3: KSOM Bhubaneswar Shortlists for final selection GDPI round 
Step-4: Participate in final Admission Process of KIIT School of Management comprising GD-PI
Step-5: The final merit list will be generated on the basis of Entrance exam score, performance in GD-PI, written test of English, past academic record, work experience and other parameters. 

Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection through admission offer letter containing the terms and conditions of the admission. 

Curriculum

KSOM MBA curriculum is designed to achieve the three objectives - Building a strong foundation in all the key functional areas of business; Fostering strong analytical and decision making skills; Providing academic flexibility to promote the customization and personalization of knowledge. 

The MBA curriculum consists of three different components – Core courses, Elective courses and corporate experience through study tours and On-Job-Training (OJT). Each component reinforces learning from the other, thereby fortifying the education process. The core and elective courses are delivered over 4 semester of 20 weeks duration for each semester and a summer project of 8 weeks duration after the 2nd semesters (OJT). There are 17 core courses in the first year and one core course plus elective courses equivalent to 32 credits in the second year covering seven functional areas. It is compulsory for a student to select at least ONE area of concentration from the functional areas “Marketing”, “HR”, “Finance and Accounting”, “Information Technology”, “Technology and Operations”. If a student wants, he/she can choose TWO areas of concentration too.

The core courses in the first year establish a strong foundation in major functions of business viz. business environment, marketing, finance, human resources, communication, IT, operations and strategy. This input helps students to acquire basic analytical, quantitative and communication skills and builds their confidence to undertake advance courses during the second year. The summer project at the end of first year, called On-Job-Training (OJT), consolidates the classroom learning with exposure to real life corporate environment. The elective courses during the second year offers opportunity for specialization in major functional areas of management, adding greater depth to the learning acquired during the first year.

The last two semesters comprise of specialization courses where the students can choose elective courses offered in the areas of Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management.

A student has to complete a minimum of 32 credits of elective in total during the two semesters in the 2nd year. Students need to select appropriate mix of course according to their career preference. It is compulsory for student to select at least one area of concentration from the functional areas.

  • Option 1: Apply with KIITEE Management Exam for KSOM MBA Admission 
     
  • Option 2: Apply with National Tests for KSOM MBA Admission after publication of result. Applicant has to register for and appear in KIITEE Management or the relevant CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT 
     
  • If Applying with National Test Score, pay application fee of Rs.1500/- online. If applying with KIITEE Management the application fee Rs.1500/- for the entrance exam includes the KSOM MBA Admission application fee.

Selection Process Description

Based on the performance on Entrance Exam, WAT, GA, PI, Academics, Extra curricular achievements among other parameters, final section will be made by awarding weightage to each of these parameters. While out of 100 score before Personal Assessment round the weightages awarded are 60% for Entrance exam; 15% for Academics; 5% for Diversity; 20% for Extra curricular and work experience. The next part is personal assessment which again has 100 score and the weightages for personal assessment are 60% for PI round; 20% for GA round and 20% for WAT.  As such, out of the total 200 score, the minimum Total Score (TS) required to be considered for admission to M.Sc. Finance is 50 for General Category and 45 for Reserve category. This will be as per the seat allocation done by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai for MH-CET.

  • Eligible Students can apply to IBA by filling the Online Application Form.
  • Students will receive an email having their User ID and Password on their registered primary email id for future reference.
  • Application Fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / UPI.
  • After payment of the application fee and submission of the application form, students will receive a PDF copy of the filled application form on their registered primary email id.
  • Students shall upload their academic documents, as mentioned in an email received by them after submitting Online Form.
  • The next step of the selection process will be intimated to a student after receipt of the academic document.
  • Students shall attend the Selection Process on the designated Date and Time along with the Original Copies of all their relevant documents.
  • The result shall be intimated to students within 3 to 4 working days from the day of the Selection Process. Selected students will receive an Admission Letter through email as well as by Post.
  • Students need to send a confirmation mail of accepting the offer of admission within the specified date as mentioned in the admission letter. After the last date, the seat will be offered to the next deserving candidate.

The programme begins with a curriculum refreshing students’ fundamental concepts. In the second and third trimesters, the students will be oriented to areas of specializations such as HR, IT, Finance, Introductions to Strategic Management, Research Methodology, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, Organisational Behaviour, Operational management, Marketing, Business law.

Two months corporate internship immediately after the completion of the third trimester i.e. the first year, enables students to get real-life experience in blue chip companies on projects that can challenge even an accomplished practicing manager. The actual learning occurs through the fruitful exchange of ideas and exposure to diverse perceptions, particularly during case analysis and presentations. These nourish the basic concepts that reinforce the process of creating successful managers.

At IBA, students are treated as colleagues who work in teams as ‘Task Forces’. This gives them a first-hand experience to organise guest lectures, seminars, even identify and screen faculty, coordinate directly with visiting faculty, etc. The last three trimesters are devoted to building entrepreneurial abilities in the students because a successful manager is perceived as a wealth creator for the organisation. The chosen specialisation subjects are learnt exhaustively in these three trimesters.

The last lap at IBA is devoted to placement exercise.
