The Executive PhD participants at IIM Sirmaur are expected to complete their thesis in four to six years. In the initial phase, there will be six months of coursework and courses will be offered in the participants’ area of specialization. This will be followed by a Comprehensive Qualifying Examination (CQE). After successfully clearing the CQE, participants will graduate to the research phase of the programme under the supervision of Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC). Doctoral scholars are expected to submit their thesis by the end of fifth year.

IIM Sirmaur has an invigorating curriculum for MBA programme. IIM Sirmaur MBA is a two-year, full time residential programme. The first year coursework is spread over three terms. It comprises core courses that explain the fundamental concepts of management across the different functional areas. The courses in the first year curriculum are mandatory for all the students. The first year coursework is followed by a summer internship. During the summer internship, students are required to work on an industry project with an organization for a period of eight to ten weeks. The summer placement is an integral part of the Master of Business Administration. The Placement Office assists the students in finding suitable summer assignments.
The second year coursework is spread over the next three terms (Term IV to Term VI). Monthly Stipend of Rs. 32,800 will be provided till Comprehensive Exam and Rs. 35,400 Post Comprehensive Exam. After approval of Thesis proposal, the stipend will go up to Rs. 39,300 per month. Additional Financial Support of Rs. 25,000 per year towards Contingency Grant for 4 years will be provided and Rs.50,000 will be given towards one time Laptop Grant. Apart from this Rs. 1,75,000 towards Conference Grant will be given to attend national and international conferences.

For PGDM 2025 admission, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT scores of years 2023/ 2024 or XAT scores of years 2024/ 2025 or GMAT scores taken after Jan 1, 2023 or CMAT scores of the year 2024/ 2025. - Great Lakes awards a special preference for College / University rank holders. The onus of proof of rank is vested in the applicant.

- Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for the final selection round (PI Round) at the designated centres
- The aptitude test scores are important at the interview shortlisting stage but have limited weightage as far as the final selection is concerned.
