Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is a doctoral level program of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. The FPM programme was launched by IIM Lucknow in 2000-2001. The program is of four and half years duration and offers a unique opportunity to those who wish to hone their research talents and develop teaching skills.
FPM at IIM Lucknow is designed to produce high-quality academicians, researchers, and management thinkers by providing an opportunity for interdisciplinary education and research in management. The high academically charged environment of the institute helps scholar to develop and sharpen their intellect. The unique pedagogy and program structure of the FPM curriculum provide an enriching environment for personal and professional growth.
The doctoral program aims to admit individuals with an exceptional academic background, high motivation, discipline, and potential to become excellent researchers at international level. Research scholars are expected to join from diverse disciplines ranging from social sciences and humanities to physical sciences and engineering.
Through the rigorous academic program, the scholar becomes part of one of the nine research areas through the acquisition of basic theoretical knowledge and practical aspects of the area. Such activity allows close interaction with faculty members, who provide the intellectual stimulation and help develop the scholar's research interests and professional goals.
- For FPM admission at IIM Lucknow, the Applicants will be shortlisted for the selection interview on the basis of valid score of one of the following exams: Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF/SRF (UGC/CSIR/ICAR). Scores of any of these examinations including CAT taken during the last two years will only be considered valid.
- Applicants applying with a one/two/three year full-time classroom based PGDM from any of the IIMs/WMP of IIM Lucknow with a minimum CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale would be exempted from taking any exam, and can apply directly through the prescribed Application Form..
- Admission to the programme is open to overseas applicants including NRIs and foreign nationals. Their admission will be based on GMAT/GRE scores obtained within previous one year.
FPM is a full-time residential programme. Students are expected to complete the programme in four years and six months. However, under special circumstances extension of two more years may be granted. The students spend their first two years for course work and the last two years and six months for research and thesis preparation. IIM Lucknow offers campus hostel facility for stay of married students with their immediate family (spouse and children).
During first year of the programme, the scholars acquire knowledge of the discipline and functional areas of management and general management. At the end of the first year, the scholars undergo a summer placement/summer research assignment under the advice/guidance of their Academic Advisor. During second year of the programme the scholars acquire in-depth knowledge of the area of specialization and related fields. In addition, scholars take the FPM compulsory courses, which are specially designed to provide teaching and research skills, and to develop integrated learning.
Scholars will have to do a compulsory Dissertation (2 Credits). On completion of the second year course work which includes dissertation work, the scholars take the comprehensive examination. After passing the comprehensive examination, the candidate enters the thesis writing stage. The candidate first develops a thesis proposal, for which she/he identifies a research topic, identifies the members of the Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC), gives a seminar on the thesis proposal to the IIML academic community, and gets the thesis proposal approved by the TAC. On completion of the thesis work, the candidate submits the thesis and defends the same.

Eligibility criteria for IIM Lucknow FPM (PhD) admission are:
A Masters' Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks; A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / four-year graduate degree with 65% marks or equivalent grade point average; OR Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA and CS with a minimum 55% aggregate marks and B.Com. as undergraduate degree; OR Applicants already holding a two/ three year-full-time classroom based PGDM from any of the IIM with a minimum CGPA of 6 on 10 points scale or 60%.; OR PGP-WE of IIM Lucknow with a minimum CGPA of 6.
All applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in all their public exam 10th onwards.

Post Graduate Programme in Liberal Studies & Management (PGP-LSM)
IIM Kozhikode Post Graduate Programme in Liberal Studies & Management (PGP-LSM), is a two-year full-time Masters level program designed to integrate and equip participants to pursue careers in managerial roles in marketing, human resource management, media, social enterprise, hospitality, healthcare or in other people facing roles. These are the roles that require a holistic perspective and ‘Diversity of thoughts’ which PGP-LSM aims to develop.
PGP-LSM is a unique offering, with the primary objective to prepare future managers by enabling them to acquire emotional, cultural, and creative intelligence.
IIM Kozhikode adopts a three-stage selection process for the admissions to PGP-LSM- Stage-I (Online application); Stage-II (Shortlisting of the candidates); Stage-III (Personal Interview) as below:
Step 1: Registration of candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria

Step-3: All the shortlisted candidates are required to participate in personal interview. Based on the performance in PI round, academics, entrance exam and other parameters, final merit list will be generated for final selection.
IIM Kozhikode PGP LSM program is a unique offering, with the primary objective to prepare future managers by enabling them to acquire emotional, cultural, and creative intelligence. Post Graduate Program In Management (PGP)
The Post-graduate Programme in Management is the flagship MBA programme of IIMK. It prepares the young and dynamic graduates for senior level positions in industry and other sectors. The PGP programme also lays greater emphasis on knowledge assimilation and its effective use than on its mere reproduction. Multiple pedagogical tools including lectures, case studies, exercises, role-plays, simulation, video shows are used to facilitate effective learning in the courses. The continuous evaluation system is rigorous comprising of quizzes, assignments, mid-term and end-term examinations.
The programme also lays emphasis on learning through requirements of library-based self-study, group work, open-ended discussions and real life projects. The students inculcate the spirit of 'dream- innovate- achieve' and imbibe social concern as an integral part of the learning process.

The 2 year full time PGP at IIM Kozhikode has six-terms spread over two years. The first-year courses (term I to III) are aimed at building the foundations of the PGP. All students are required to complete all the first-year courses successfully. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
SPJIMR's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year, full-time residential program that is deemed equivalent to an MBA. The programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The participants complete their first semester, which is for 6 months, at SPJIMR, where they learn the fundamentals of general management and much more. Once the participants enrol in GMP, access will be given to the six online course pack by Harvard Business Publishing Education, as part of the Pre-Term GMP Launch. The PGPM programme comprises three phases: Online module for 2 months; On-campus residential module for 12 months and Four months of Social/Startup Projects and International Immersion.

The PGEMP Programme is conducted in four phases spread across 21 months and involves 60 full days of classes at SPJIMR campus in Mumbai. The 60 days on-campus period is divided into eight contact periods with Initial contact period of 3 days for the Pre-foundation phase; 6 contact periods of 9 consecutive days each, over the Foundation, Integration, and Customisation phases. The off-campus period between two consecutive contacts is 10-12 weeks. The last contact period of 3 days for final exams and Capstone Project presentation. Residency on campus during contact period is mandatory.
The programme is divided into four phases and each phase is equally important. Specializations are offered in General Management & Strategy, Operational Excellence, Innovation and Growth.
The candidate has to remain employed during the programme as he/she will be required to apply the concepts to his/her own job context. As such, continuous and full-time employment is mandatory throughout the programme. In the event the candidate is in between jobs and not in employment, he/she will have to take a break from the programme till such time he/she resumes full-time employment.
