- A non-refundable application fee of INR 1000/- is to be submitted along with the application. SC, ST, PwD, Women applicants are exempt from paying the application fee. NC-OBC and EWS applicants are required to pay 50% of the fee viz. INR 500/-.
- Candidates opting to appear for the IIMV Test will have to pay a nonrefundable fee of INR 1000/- in addition to the application fee. There is no discount for any category of applicant, for the IIMV Test fee.

The eligibility criteria for admission into the Program are:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent).
- The Bachelor’s degree obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent
- The applicant must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience as an officer/executive level or higher; as a professional or as an entrepreneur
- Applicants require a valid CAT / GMAT / GRE score to be considered for admission. Alternatively, applicants also can choose to apply for PGPEx by opting to take IIMV Test

- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal interview. The interview panel will evaluate each candidate’s performance based on such factors/ parameters as SOP, diversity, general awareness, leadership qualities, accomplishments at workplace
- At the time of the interview, employed candidates will be required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employers
- Final selection will be made based on a composite score comprising the performance in the Admission Test, nature and extent of work experience, SOP and Interview. The composite total score will be calculated using a multi-factor model
- The admission offer will be made to a certain percentage of applicants depending on the availability of seats and their satisfying a minimum cut-off on the composite score
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
IIM Bodh Gaya 2 years full time residential MBA is the flagship management programme of the institute. IIM Bodh Gaya MBA programme is designed to enhance students with a strong awareness and knowledge about the socio-economic environment both at national and global level. The objective is to bring into being a Global Manager not only with strong analytical and decision making skills but an overall personality with socially enviable values and ethics. To achieve the aforesaid objective, the course curriculum is designed to use a range of audio-visual based teaching methodologies like case studies, real life problem solving exercises, role-play, group discussion and computer simulation based contents.

Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA program at IIM Bodh Gaya is through CAT Exam and IIM CAP PI round. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA at IIM Bodh Gaya is a three-step process- Pre shortlisting, Shortlisting, and participation in IIM CAP PI round or IIM Bodh Gaya SAP round
In the first step, candidates are screened as per the IIM Bodh Gaya admission policy on performance in CAT exam and in the second step they are considered on various parameters for shortlisting for Common Admission Process (CAP) comprising Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and have their interest and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
In addition to the Common Admission Process, IIM Bodh Gaya will conduct an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates who meet IIM Bodh Gaya PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet the CAP cut off criteria. Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) is conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya and two other CAP participating third generation IIMs for the candidates who have not been shortlisted and have not been able to participate in Common Admission Process (CAP). The shortlisting criteria for SAP have a lower CAT cut off (91%ile in 2024) than applied for CAP round (94%ile in 2024) .
After the PI round, IIM Bodh Gaya will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Bodh Gaya to successful candidates.
The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in CAP round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a master’s degree program of 2 years duration. EMBA is designed with the objective of imparting management education to working executives seeking skills and strategies to make their organizations perform well.
The program is offered on an Interactive Learning (IL) platform in a blended mode. EMBA program is of 2 years duration and is offered in blended mode of Online and class room sessions. Total number of 36 courses are included in the programme curriculum. Total number of Programme Hours are 740 (1st year – 360 Hours, 2nd year – 380 Hours). Classes will be conducted on weekends from 9 AM to 5.00 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 3.30 PM on Sunday. Apart from the online sessions, the programme will have 2 in-campus modules of five days each at IIM Visakhapatnam.
A mix of evaluation elements would vary from course to course as decided by the course faculty. Each course would have an end term examination apart from Quizzes, Projects, Assignments, Class participation. The End term examinations would be conducted in Bennett Coleman & Co. Post Graduate Program In Management (PGPM)
The two-year, full-time, residential Post Graduate Programme is the flagship MBA programme at IIM Visakhapatnam. Successful completion of Post Graduate Programme in Management leads to award of MBA degree by IIMV. The programme, is designed to equip students to take on leadership roles in a rapidly changing global scenario. IIMV PGP has been accorded equivalence with Master’s degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for the purpose of admission to higher studies.

IIM Visakhapatnam PGP programme is of 2 years duration. There are three terms in a year. Students go for summer internship on completion of first year. The selection process at IIM Tiruchirappalli is multi-staged. All stages of this process are equally important for a potential candidate seeking admission into the program.
Stage 1: Submission of the application form. IIM Trichy PhD programme has rigorous coursework focused on research training. The program is designed to help students complete their dissertation within a period of five years. In the first eighteen months, students are required to complete a coursework which exposes them to general management subjects, fundamental courses to gain an appreciation of management research, advanced courses in their respective areas of specialization and courses in research methodologies.
In total a student has to earn a minimum of 54 credits. Area specialization compulsory courses (Doctoral level) – 12 Credits, Area specialization elective courses (Doctoral level) – 9 credits, Research appreciation Courses (Doctoral level) – 6 credits, Methodology courses (Doctoral level) – 6 credits, General Management courses (PGPM level) – 15 credits.
In addition to the classroom courses, each student initiates a ‘Research Paper’ during the two-month summer break between Year 1 & Year 2 and continues to work on the paper during the second year for a total of 6 credits. Each student works with a designated research guide for this component of the coursework. A three credit course involves total classroom input of 30 hours. Each course involves assignments and submissions which students have to work upon beyond class hours.
To proceed further on their research journeys, students are required to clear their CQEs conducted by their respective areas of specialization. The CQE has three components – a written exam, viva voce and examination of the status of the 'Research Paper'. All students have to undergo the DPM level courses that will be offered in Year 1.

For PGPBM, IIM Tiruchirappalli uses the concept of credit to define the weightage of a course in the curriculum. Courses are listed as one, two or three credit courses depending on an indicative workload for each course. A three credit course involves about 100 hours of work, of which 30% is spent inside the class room and the balance outside the class in preparation and assignments. One and two credit courses would have a proportionately lesser workload.
Preparation for the classroom entails preparation both before and after the class. Prior to the classroom session, students are required to prepare for the assigned case, go through the assigned readings and work on exercises and assignments, among others. Subsequent to the class session, students are required to review and reflect on the session, and prepare for the components of assessment.
In the programme both Core courses and electives are offered. Core courses are compulsory for all students and are offered in the four terms of the programme. Each student has to do a total of 51 credits of core courses. Electives are courses which are chosen by the students and are offered in second year. The student has to take a minimum total of 45 credits in electives over the last four terms.
