Integrated B.Tech.-MBA Program
IIM Amritsar offers Integrated B.Tech. – MBA Program (IBM) jointly by IIM Amritsar and NIT Jalandhar. The program integrates the curriculum of B.Tech. degree from NIT Jalandhar and MBA degree from IIM Amritsar in 5 years, thereby saving one academic year for the students. Admission to the program will be through an entrance test conducted by IIM Amritsar followed by a Personal Interview. All 4th semester students of NIT Jalandhar are eligible to apply for the program.
The first year MBA curriculum will be covered in semesters 5-8 of the B.Tech. program. Students will also get an opportunity to do summer internships in managerial roles at the end of 8th semester. The IBM program offers B.Tech. students of NIT Jalandhar a unique opportunity to be corporate ready with this Integrated B.Tech. MBA degree.

The program covers the entire MBA curriculum offered by IIM Amritsar. Courses normally covered in the 1st year of MBA at IIM Amritsar will be covered in Semesters 5-8 of the B.Tech. program through lectures in hybrid mode. In the final year of the IBM program, students are expected to take a minimum of 16 units and a maximum of 18 units of electives divided over three terms. In addition to the above the students will be required to take the core courses Applications of Business Communication, Business Law/Legal Aspects of Business, Strategic Management, Social Involvement Project.
The courses taught in the first year of the MBA program will be covered over semesters 5-8 of the B.Tech. curriculum. These courses will be taught in offline mode. Schedule for these courses will be integrated in the regular B.Tech. schedule of NIT Jalandhar. For the final year of the MBA program the students will shift to the hostels provided by IIM Amritsar and will attend regular offline classes at IIM Amritsar. IIM Offers optional international immersion Module to IBM students. An additional cost needs to be paid by the candidates if they are interested.
Faculty teaching both IBM and MBA program are drawn from the same pool of faculty available at IIM Amritsar. The attendance and assessment rigor are similar to the MBA program. The IBM students have to comply with the rules and regulations given in the IBM students’ manual.

- IIM Amritsar Integrated B.Tech MBA programme is open to all students who are enrolled in the B.Tech. Program of NIT-Jalandhar and are currently in the 4th semester

- BIM Trichy MBA eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
- One of the most important points in BIM Trichy Admission Eligibility criteria is that apart from a recognized graduate degree, the candidate should be registered for CAT/XAT/GMAT and must have appeared in one of these entrance exams to become eligible for MBA admission.
- A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for BIM Trichy Admission.
BIM Trichy selection criteria after GD-PI round award judiciously divided weightages to Entrance exam score; Academics; Work Experience; Group Discussion; Personal Interview among other parameters.
