LBSIM Delhi PGDM Financial Management 2027-29: Admission, Fees, Curriculum and Placements
LBSIM Delhi PGDM Financial Management 2027 admissions cover 60 seats in the two-year, full-time PGDM (Financial Management) at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), New Delhi, for Batch 2027-29. The PGDM (FM) is built around finance, with first-year courses in financial markets, corporate finance and business valuation. The tuition fee for the LBSIM Delhi PGDM (FM) is Rs 17.25 lakh on a General seat, the same as the institute's other PGDM programmes. The PGDM (FM) Batch 2024-26 recorded an average CTC of Rs 12.5 LPA, the highest programme average at LBSIM in Placement 2026.
LBSIM started the PGDM (Financial Management) in 2008, thirteen years after the institute opened its PGDM (General). NBA first accredited the finance programme in 2013, and the accreditation for the PGDM (FM) was renewed in 2025. The LBSIM Delhi PGDM (FM) is approved by AICTE, accredited by AACSB and recognised by AIU as equivalent to an MBA. Unlike the PGDM (General), students do not wait for a second-year major: finance courses start in the first year. Classes use the institute's Bloomberg Lab, which has 12 terminals and was set up in 2015. LBSIM lists the Bloomberg Market Concepts, Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals and ESG certifications among the credentials students can earn. Dr Smita Dayal chairs the programme.
The LBSIM PGDM FM admission process for Batch 2027-29 has four stages: an entrance exam, an online application, shortlisting on a composite score, and an Extempore and Personal Interview. The main points for the LBSIM Delhi PGDM General 2027 intake are summarised below.
- Eligibility: a bachelor's degree of at least three years after 10+2, in any discipline, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent, from a UGC or AIU recognised university. Final-year students can apply provisionally.
- Exams accepted: CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT (score dated 1 January 2023 to 31 January 2027). CMAT, MAT, NMAT, SNAP and ATMA are not accepted.
- Application and cost: apply online at forms.lbsim.ac.in, or offline at the Dwarka campus. The application fee is Rs 1,500 until 15 November 2026 and Rs 2,200 from 16 November 2026.
- Key dates: applications close in December 2026 (exact date awaited); the Extempore and Personal Interview are in February to March 2027, results in March 2027 and the programme begins in June 2027 (all tentative).
- Shortlisting and cut off: LBSIM builds a composite score from the exam score, past academics, work experience and application details. The LBSIM PGDM General cut off is not published in advance.
- Selection weightage: the entrance exam score carries 60% weight; past academics, the Extempore, the Personal Interview and work experience together carry 40%.
- Confirming the seat: selected candidates complete the LBSIM PGDM General admission by paying the fee between March and June 2027 (tentative).
The LBSIM Delhi PGDM (FM) follows the six-trimester, 120-credit structure used across LBSIM. Three finance courses form the domain-specific core of the first year: Financial Markets & Institutions, Applied Corporate Finance and Business Valuation. They sit alongside the other first-year courses, which total 23. After Trimester III, students spend 8 to 10 weeks on a summer internship. The second year combines five core courses with seven specialisation electives and one open elective, and a Final Research Project runs through the last three trimesters.

1. Register on the LBSIM application portal, forms.lbsim.ac.in.
2. Fill in the PGDM application form 2027 with your academic record and your CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT details.
3. Pay Rs 1,500 if you apply by 15 November 2026, or Rs 2,200 from 16 November 2026, by card, net banking or UPI.
4. An offline form is also available from the Admission Coordinator at the Dwarka campus, payable in cash or by demand draft.
5. Submit before the December 2026 last date and track the shortlist on the LBSIM website.
LBSIM PGDM Financial Management Admission Eligibility Criteria have following key requirements:
- Graduation in any discipline, with a degree of at least three years after 10+2 and 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.
- The university must be recognised by UGC or AIU, in India or abroad. A commerce or finance degree is not required.
- A CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT score. GMAT scores must be dated between 1 January 2023 and 31 January 2027.
- Candidates in the final year of graduation are eligible on a provisional basis
- Candidates apply through the LBSIM PGDM application form 2027 with a CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT score.
- The shortlist is based on the entrance score, academic record, work experience and application form details.
- An Extempore and a Personal Interview follow, and offers are made after the result in March 2027 (tentative).
Selected EWS and meritorious students admitted to the LBSIM Delhi PGDM (FM) are eligible for full merit-cum-means scholarships, according to the LBSIM brochure. The brochure does not state how many scholarships are given, and the LBSIM website carries a separate information page on education loans. Refunds, if any, are made under AICTE regulations.
