The first year is a fundamental anchor of the programme and will provide a context of strong peer learning and appreciation of business issues. IIM Mumbai PGDEx – VLFM selection is a rigorous three-stage process that includes submission of Online application (Leadership Profiling), Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. Date of selection process will be declared on the admission portal.
Applicants will have to submit a SOP (Statement of Purpose) and two LORs (Letters of recommendations) along with detailed application form.
Shortlisted applicants will be called for an aptitude test and personal interview conducted by the panel of IIM Mumbai and IIT Delhi faculty members.
Candidates are evaluated on several parameters (e.g., industrial background, Domain expertise, progression in career, leadership potential, professional aspirations, academic preparedness, accomplishment, and interpersonal skills) to assess their fitment for the program.

PGDEx – VLFM is a unique program with a rigorous curriculum to build a pool of techno-managerial leaders who can transform India's manufacturing sector. The program thrives on peer-learning pedagogy focusing on management, manufacturing technology and leadership. The program structure is based on three pillars - technology, process and management. Total contact hours to complete the course curriculum are 1394 during which the participants will cover number of courses – core and electives along with internship on Manufacturing Marketing, Operations, Supply chain, Analytics, Accounting, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Energy Management, Automation among others. - Candidates must hold a recognized first-class full-time bachelor's degree in technological (B.E. or B.Tech.) discipline.
- Candidates must have at least 4 years (and less than 10 years)) full-time industrial experience across domains such as manufacturing, operations, consulting, as on the last date of submission of application as prescribed in the advertisement.
The programme also offers Seats for sponsored candidates from reputed organizations across the globe. Sponsored candidates should meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned above followed by the admission process.
