SPJIMR PGDM BM looks for diverse qualities, qualification and attributes in a candidate. Key SPJIMR eligibility criteria for PGDM admission are:
- Academic Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in graduation. Your academic performance from class 10 onwards plays an important role. Students in their final year of graduation can also apply.
- Work Experience Not Mandatory: Work experience is not mandatory. Fresh graduates and those with up to five years of work experience can apply for admission.
- Acceptable Entrance Exams: SPJIMR Mumbai will accept latest CAT exam score and GMAT exam score.
SPJIMR shortlists applicants based on their profiles. Candidates are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams. The profiles are scored and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile based (Phase 1) and Profile-cum-score based (Phase 2).

SPJIMR Mumbai Scholarships are offered to support meritorious and financially needy PGDM BM participants. Each year, the Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarship awards ₹5 lakh each to two first-year and two second-year students with family incomes below ₹8 lakh. The participants complete their first semester, which is for 6 months, at SPJIMR, where they learn the fundamentals of general management and much more. Once the participants enrol in GMP, access will be given to the six online course pack by Harvard Business Publishing Education, as part of the Pre-Term GMP Launch. The Foundation and Compulsory courses cover Communication, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Statistics, Design Thinking.
Electives provide more knowledge and are selected based on the partner school’s requirements and the student’s interest. GMP programme architecture is flexible to accommodate specific partner schools’ needs for credit recognition. Fellow Programme in Management
The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), approved by AICTE, is a doctoral-level programme of SPJIMR designed to create world-class researchers and faculty in various management disciplines. Full FPM Full-Time at SPJIMR is a fully-funded residential programme. Every scholar admitted to the full-time programme receives a stipend for the first four years of the programme.
FPM encourages rigorous interdisciplinary research in contemporary areas of management and focuses on relevant and contextual research to address current business issues and aims to create knowledge that helps shape the world for a better future. The programme envisages itself developing independent top-quality management thinkers, thought leaders and consultants making contributions to the domain of management.

Scholarship
Every participant admitted as a full-time scholar receives a stipend for the first four years of the programme as below:
During the coursework phase: INR 40,000 per month
Post-clearing the qualifying exam: INR 42,000 per month
Post successful defence of proposal: INR 45,000 per month.
Contingency grants are also offered to the full-time participant to access the necessary equipment and facilities for research. The amount is reimbursed after verification of the submitted bills.
- Every full-time participant is eligible for a contingency grant of INR 25,000 per year for the first four years of the programme to cover research expenses such as the purchase of software, books, stationeries, hardware

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) at IIM Calcutta is a two year full time residential diploma program aimed at creating business analytics professionals employable by leading Indian and foreign firms. The PGDBA is jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI. PGDBA aims to help shape the emerging profession of business analytics by delivering a cutting edge inter disciplinary educational experience to graduate applicants with an aspiration of building a career in this field.
This programme is designed for those who have an analytical mindset, are interested in tackling challenging business problems, and possess an inclination towards mathematics. IIM Calcutta PGDBA Students will visit the three institutions – ISI, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. Each of the three institutes will focus on a separate area of business analytics, in accordance with its expertise and competence. While coursework at IIM Calcutta will focus on the application of analytics in functional areas, ISI will bring to the table its expertise in statistical and machine learning theories for analytics, and faculty at IIT Kharagpur will engage with the technology aspects of analytics. In addition, the students will be required to do an internship of six months duration on an analytics project in a business organization. The programme being residential, each institute will make suitable arrangements for hostel accommodation for the students.
Students successfully graduating from the programme will be able to join organizations working in the area of analytics. Those interested in higher studies may pursue doctoral or other advanced studies in areas related to analytics.
