Admission Process

The step by step process for admission to MBA programme at SCMHRD Pune is as follows:

Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear and score the minimum required percentile in SNAP Test

Step 2: Along with submitting application for SNAP exam, candidates should register and apply for admission to SCMHRD Pune by paying additional registration fee of Rs.1000/- per programme through SNAP application form  

Step 3: Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection process at SCMHRD, Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in SCMHRD Pune selection process

Step 4: SCMHRD Pune Shortlist Criteria is based on SNAP exam score. For MBA admission, every year SCMHRD Pune shortlist criteria is announced. SCMHRD Pune MBA curriculum is divided into four semesters spread over two years.

In the second year electives & specializations are offered in the areas of  Social Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Retail Management, Digital Marketing among others.

BITSoM Mumbai MBA Admissions Process 
Admissions are based on a comprehensive evaluation of standardised test scores (CAT, GMAT, or GRE – any one is required), academic records, extracurricular and co-curricular achievements, demonstrated leadership potential, and strong communication skills. The school emphasises on building a diverse class across gender, academic backgrounds, work experience, and interests.

Work experience is not mandatory and BITSoM encourages applications from fresh graduates as well as experienced professionals. BITSoM Experiential Learning Initiatives 
Live Projects are real-world challenges that students tackle in groups to supplement their BITSoM classroom learning. As part of the BITSoM MBA programme, participants should complete a Social Live Project and two Corporate Live Projects. Each of these Live Projects lasts two months, and you have to work on the project for approximately 40 hours each, alongside academic engagements. Step by Step K J Somaiya Institute of Management Admission Process is detailed below:
Step-1: K J Somaiya Institute of Management Shortlisting Criteria: K J Somaiya will shortlist candidates based on entrance exam scores accepted for admission namely CAT 2024, XAT 2025, GMAT, NMAT 2024, and CMAT 2025. For NMAT, the scores of only the student's first attempt will be considered. For GMAT, scores from 1st January 2022 to 20th January 2025 will be considered valid. Applicants may submit more than one entrance test score. K J Somaiya will consider the best test score for shortlisting.

Step-2: K J Somaiya Institute of Management - MBA Admission Final Selection: The final admission round at K J Somaiya will consist of WAT and GD-PI. The Written Ability Test (WAT) at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management is a key part of the admission process. In this test, students are given a specific topic to write about, allowing them to showcase their writing skills, critical thinking, clarity of thought, and ability to articulate ideas effectively. GD PI process will be conducted across different cities across India. It will consist of Group discussion and a personal in-depth interview.

After the final admission round KJSIM will award weightage to Entrance exam scores; Academics; Work Experience; Written ability test; Group Discussion and Personal Interviews; and Other Achievements like sports & other extracurricular activities. Candidates will be offered the programme based on their results, preference, and the availability of seats.

Profile-Based Admission: K J Somaiya also offers profile-based admission for its MBA Healthcare Management and MBA Sports Management programme. For the profile-based admission process, the aspirant needs to appear for any one of the qualifying entrance exams (i.e. either CAT / XAT/GMAT/ NMAT/CMAT). For MBA-Sports Management qualifying scores of CAT/ XAT/GMAT/ NMAT/CMAT /ATMA/MAT/PERA CET/CUET will be accepted.

Curriculum

The two-year, full-time MBA programme at K J Somaiya Institute of Management allows students the unique opportunity to pursue both a major and a minor. From the second year onwards, Students are required to opt for one of the majors and one of the minor specializations. The major specialization needs to be opted for before the 4th trimester, while the minor specialization needs to be opted for before the 5th trimester.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management offers students a unique opportunity to build on business fundamentals by opting for Majors and Minors. In the first year, the courses offered will strengthen the foundation i.e., business fundamentals. In the second year, the students will have the option to choose one of the 5 Majors. LBSIM Delhi PGDM E-Business Admission Step by Step Process is given below:

Step-1: Application submission for Eligible Entrance Exams. LBSIM will accept CAT, XAT and GMAT (last four years) score for admission to all its PGDM programmes. You first need to apply and appear in at least one of the above entrance exams and score well to clear the prescribed LBSIM Delhi cut offs  

Step-2: Apply Online or Offline separately for LBSIM Admission with requisite application fees of Rs.2000/-  

Step-3: Check LBSIM Delhi Shortlist. Candidates are short-listed based on valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, prior academic performance, work experience, and other information disclosed in the Application form

Step-4: Participate in Final Selection GD-PI-WAT. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Extempore/Written Analysis Test and Personal Interview which is held in different cities.

Step-5: Merit List Generation. Result of the selected candidates shall be displayed on the Institute’s Notice Board and uploaded on the Institute’s website

Curriculum

The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E-Business) programme consists of six trimesters. The course framework of the programme has been designed to ensure that PGDM (E-Business) management graduates at LBSIM gain a balanced mix of strategic thinking, tactical implementation, specialised knowledge, and general management abilities. The focus in the first year is largely on fundamental courses, that provide a foundation of conceptual and analytical abilities necessary for pursuing a specialised course in E-Business. These fundamental courses enable students to have a holistic understanding of business environment and help students improve creative thinking, effective communication skills, and teamwork. During the first year, students study a total of 21 (twenty-one) courses in the areas of Economics, Human Resources, Quantitative Techniques, Accounting and Finance and Information Technology.

PGDM Student connect programme is offered before the commencement of regular classes to help incoming candidates cope with the rigours of PGDM Programme by offering courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in different domains) & PGDM Curriculum.

In the second year, students are required to opt for 6 (six) elective subjects in addition to 11 (eleven) core subjects. This enables them to pursue an in- depth learning in the specialised area of E-Business. Participants are also required to complete online certifications which carry credits.

Each student is required to undertake summer internship in a company of repute for the duration of 8-10 weeks as part of the course curriculum after the third trimester examination. In its PGDM E-Commerce Programme, LBSIM offers choice of specializations from the areas of  Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and CSR, Leadership among others.

LBSIM PGDM E Business Admission Eligibility Criteria have following key requirements:

  • Graduates in any discipline with minimum 3 years bachelor’s degree with 50% marks

  • Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.

IIMV PhD Program comprises of two phases Coursework and Thesis work. The phase-1 of Course work covers the first year of the programme. Successful completion of the first phase requires passing the Comprehensive Examination (Written & Viva) at the end of the first academic year. a student is required to take 18-credit courses over this period. 
On completion of Phase 1, the students begin thesis work consisting of a thesis proposal and a final thesis-evaluation. The area concerned can decide on the combination of PGP and PhD courses to be offered in year, subject to the minimum requirements. so that the student completes 27 credits before the comprehensive qualifying examination.

Curriculum

EMBA program is of 2 years duration and is offered in blended mode of Online and class room sessions. Total number of 36 courses are included in the programme curriculum. Total number of Programme Hours are 740 (1st year – 360 Hours, 2nd year – 380 Hours). Classes will be conducted on weekends from 9 AM to 5.00 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 3.30 PM on Sunday.  Apart from the online sessions, the programme will have 2 in-campus modules of five days each at IIM Visakhapatnam.
A mix of evaluation elements would vary from course to course as decided by the course faculty.  Each course would have an end term examination apart from Quizzes, Projects, Assignments, Class participation. The End term examinations would be conducted in Bennett Coleman & Co. (BCCL) Centres spread across the country.
The program curriculum covers all the important domains of management in year one. At the end of the first year the participants will be equipped with a sound understanding of all functional areas of management like Marketing, Economics, Finance, Human Resource, Information Systems, Production and Operations, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Participants will also learn various tools and techniques for understanding the use of data in making business decisions.
The second year is built on the foundation of year one core courses, where participants are given the option of choosing from a bouquet of elective courses offered across different management specializations. Along with the elective courses, the program mandates one core course per term in the second year. The core courses in the second year are intended to help participants integrate their learnings from all functional areas of management into planning and executing a business problem. Though a General Management program, the highlight of the EMBA offered by IIM Visakhapatnam is the application-oriented design of the curriculum with a good blend of fundamental management knowledge with integrative learning across domains.

The Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGP-DGM), leading to the award of Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree was launched by the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) in 2019. This program was launched under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GOI).

The Program is spread over 2 years in 4 semesters. The Program is offered in blended learning mode with a judicious combination of traditional and virtual class-room modes. This is in tune with the importance and rising trend of such (on-line) programs being offered by educational institutions. Blended-mode of course delivery addresses the constraints of working professionals in having to be away from work for extended duration which is necessitated due to fully on-campus, residential programs. The Program is designed for an immersive and active learning experience for participants. The selected candidates will be required to complete the Domestic component as well as the International component. In addition, participants would be required to carry out a Capstone Project of practical importance, with potential for implementation in the Digital Governance & Management space.
