The PGDM IEV at XLRI is designed to develop various skills and knowledge in the students though its rich curriculum and pedagogy. XLRI IEV employs a dynamic, hands-on approach in which each day is different. Students should anticipate two to four 90-minute lessons per day, five days per week. Students also engage in group projects, career counselling meetings, industry practicums, and extracurricular activities throughout the week.

The curriculum is based on the regular PGDM curriculum for business management but has been contextualized for startups. The core courses will cover all aspects of business fundamentals needed to run a business, and electives will the students to focus on specific learning needs. A large part of the course is designed around experiential learning, where students get an opportunity to validate and internalize the learning by applying it in the real world.

XCEED, the incubation centre at XLRI, supports the development of early-stage startup companies led by XLRI students, alumni, and faculty. XLRI incubator offers a comprehensive set of resources and services designed to assist entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into successful businesses. XLRI understands that starting a company can be a difficult and uncertain journey, which is why we strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters innovation and growth.

IIM Lucknow MBA E&I is a focused, intense, practical 16-month program with the sole objective of allowing you to envision, design, build, and launch your own venture. On completion of the program, the candidate will identify and validate the business idea and will develop a professional entrepreneurial network needed to succeed. The porgramme curriculum is balanced between theory, skill, practice and offers Internship opportunities with VCs, entrepreneurs. The programme is supported by an existing entrepreneur alumni community of more than 600. 

The programme offers 1:1 mentorship by existing entrepreneurs. Apart from imparting the required skills and knowledge, the program will focus on developing the industry knowledge and professional networks of the participants. IIM Lucknow campus has two incubators which run out of the Noida campus. These are the SCI-FI Incubator and the L-Incubator which seek to nurture entrepreneurial talent. These offer a host of facilities including an Artificial Intelligence lab equipped with a supercomputer, co-working spaces, and various helpdesks including for finance and legal matters. The MBA Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims at utilising these and other facilities during the program, to achieve its objectives.

The MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) program follows a curriculum philosophy and pedagogy based on Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Skills (50%) that will be imparted through multi-disciplinary courses at the post-graduate level and Industry Inputs, Immersion, and Mentorship (50%) that will be delivered through concurrently running workshops, a mentorship program with alumni entrepreneurs, shadowing opportunities, and experiential learning.

MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation: Program Curriculum
IIM Lucknow has divided its 16 month MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme in 5 Modules as below: 

IIM Lucknow IPMX consists of 23.5 credits courses, which includes core courses of 14.5 credits, courses during the overseas module of 2 credits, and elective courses of 7 credits. One credit course consists of 30 hours of classroom contact hours. The program includes non-credit workshops of 40 hours. Thus, the total number of classroom contact hours is 745. 

In Term IV, a student may take CIS (Course of Independent Study) worth one credit in place of an elective course. It may be on any topic of interest of the student.

IIM Lucknow PGPWE program is structured to meet the learning needs and methodologies in such a way that one can continue to work and engage in formal education simultaneously. The program maintains the high standards and rigor as in all postgraduate programs in management at IIM Lucknow. It aims at developing strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future. The PGPWE helps to inculcate leadership amongst participants, and foster the development of change agents to take top roles in the global business arena.

PGP-WE is a two-year program; the first year consists of four terms and the second year consists of three terms. Students come to IIM Lucknow, NOIDA Campus on Friday afternoon and go back on Sunday afternoon, every alternative weekend. Each term has 7 visits distributed over 3 months period, approximately.  A wide basket of elective courses from all functional areas are offered to meet the specific career goals of the students. The functional areas are Decision Sciences, Finance and Accounting, Business Environment (Economics), Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, Operations Management, Information Technology and Systems, Strategy Management, Communication, General Management

In the normal course, the program is completed in two years. However, students who fail to meet the prescribed minimum attendance or academic standards due to extenuating circumstances may be allowed two more continuous years if the PGP-WE Committee recommends so, and can complete the Programme in a total of four years (maximum overall duration).
 

IIM Kozhikode PGP LSM program is a unique offering, with the primary objective to prepare future managers by enabling them to acquire emotional, cultural, and creative intelligence. The programme is designed to integrate and equip participants to pursue careers in managerial roles in marketing, human resource management, media, social enterprise, hospitality, healthcare or in other people facing roles. 

The PGP-LSM is a two-year (six term) full time programme that provides in-depth coverage in terms of lessons from liberal studies and core management principles in the first year followed by advanced courses and electives in the second year. 

The programme also has a module on International and Rural immersion that the participants need to engage with in term IV (second year). Master’s thesis in term VI (second year) is another unique feature of the course. IIM Kozhikode will also provide assistance for internship and final placements. PGP-LSM at IIM Kozhikode is a completely residential program. Boarding and Lodging will be provided to all the students.

The PGEMP Programme is conducted in four phases spread across 21 months and involves 60 full days of classes at SPJIMR campus in Mumbai. The 60 days on-campus period is divided into eight contact periods with Initial contact period of 3 days for the Pre-foundation phase; 6 contact periods of 9 consecutive days each, over the Foundation, Integration, and Customisation phases. The off-campus period between two consecutive contacts is 10-12 weeks. The last contact period of 3 days for final exams and Capstone Project presentation. Residency on campus during contact period is mandatory.

The programme  is divided into four phases and each phase is equally important. Specializations are offered in General Management & Strategy, Operational Excellence, Innovation and Growth. 

The candidate has to remain employed during the programme as he/she will be required to apply the concepts to his/her own job context. As such, continuous and full-time employment is mandatory throughout the programme. In the event the candidate is in between jobs and not in employment, he/she will have to take a break from the programme till such time he/she resumes full-time employment. 
 

IIM Calcutta PGPX VLM curriculum is divided into 8 terms and more than 1170 classroom contact hours, spread across 3 campuses during the 12 month period. It starts with an “Ice breaking session and Breakthrough Management” in IIM-Calcutta with a thrust on the "Big Picture" perspective. The primary focus lies on how to build a strategy based on core competencies and then to integrate an organization to execute this strategy and achieve the desired outcome.

The next two terms impart management knowledge in diverse areas ranging from Business Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Operations, People Management and Global Business scenario. Various modules on Supply Chain Management, Customer-centric approach, Lean methodologies, New Product Design & Development, SAP ERP, ISO 9001: Auditor training and some high-end technology related courses like Advanced Materials, Robotics, Ergonomics are taught in IIT-Kanpur and IIT-Madras campuses. The final term at IIM-Calcutta puts special emphasis on Leadership and Change Management with key focus on building an Entrepreneurial and Innovative culture. The terms also stress on the needs and nuances of Ethics and Ethical behaviour for today’s managers who compete a rapidly globalizing world.

The program’s learning methods are an assortment of regular class discussions, case studies, group work, live presentations and action-learning opportunities like management games and short consultancy assignments. A significant proportion of the program is undertaken in teams to further enhance the dynamic learning experience.

PGPEX VLM has 36 weeks of classroom study which includes lectures, case studies, tutorials, lab sessions, videos, individual and team assignments, guest lectures from Japanese faculty, industry experts, and business leaders, totaling 1173 interaction hours. The programme has 1 week of industry visit in Japan for studying Best Manufacturing Practices under the aegis of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program has a proper balance of theoretical inputs and practical training to develop a high degree of leadership skill which would enable Indian companies convert manufacturing into a competitive weapon. The program introduces courses on Green Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IOT) along with ISO9001 Lead Auditor Training.

The program attracts promising engineers from the manufacturing and allied businesses, who have the potential for top management positions.
 

The MBA Business Analytics (PGPBA) at IIM Bangalore programme offers Core and Elective courses. Core courses are compulsory courses offered in the first year and second year. Elective courses are offered in the second year, where students get the opportunity to choose from a basket of multidisciplinary courses and courses with functional depth in Analytics. 

IIMB courses are delivered through a combination of lectures, classroom discussions, industry interactions, case analyses, individual and group projects, term papers, role plays, dissertations, simulations, business games, films, and various experiential learning methods. During the first year, a PGP-BA student is required to undertake eighteen core courses (totalling 49.5 credits). The first year consists of three terms, Summer internship programme is scheduled between the end of first year and the beginning of second year with a firm in the Analytics domain. Internship is optional for students who have at least 34 months of work experience prior to enrolling for the programme.

The PGP-BA student should take the four core courses in Term IV and at least four electives (12 credits) in the analytics domain (labelled as field electives) across Terms IV, V and VI. The remaining credits can be taken from either the analytics domain (field elective) or any other general management electives (free electives). A PGP-BA student should earn a minimum of 45 credits and a maximum of 51 credits in the second year. 

The electives cover a wide array of topics including Social Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure Development, PPPs and Regulation, Business Analytics and Intelligence, Spreadsheet Model-Business Decision, Current Economic Scenario; Indian Economy and Policy Matters for Business, Global Securities Markets, Corporate Governance: Indian and International Perspective, Corporate Valuation, Digital Marketing, Research for Marketing Decisions, Brand Management, Entrepreneurship in Action, Personal Values, Goals and Career Options, Creating High Performance Organizations, Supply Chain Management, Technology and Operations Strategy, Green Business Management, Strategic Thinking and Decision Making Apart from electives on functional areas, IIMB also offers different types of courses such as language courses (German, French, Spanish and Japanese), courses with international immersion (like Business Planning in International Markets, Developing Technology Partnerships between Firms in India and Israel), and experiential courses (like the Himalayan Mountain Challenge and Motorcycle Immersion in Local Entrepreneurial Settings), based on the interest of students.

The Executive MBA (EPGP) provides students with a solid foundation in key management concepts and disciplines. The academic year is divided into five terms. Two terms are devoted to core courses, one term for the International Immersion module, and two terms primarily for electives. Themes drawn from the realm of the social sciences have been integrated into the programme in a structured manner leading to a nuanced, multi-layered understanding of management issues.

The core courses are compulsory for all EPGP students and concentrate on the range of knowledge and skills required of all successful senior managers. On completion of the core courses, students have the choice of a broad range of electives to align with their career objectives and personal interests. In addition to electives designed specifically for the EPGP, students also have access to designated electives from other Institute programmes, including the two-year Post Graduate Programme, the PGPEM (Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management) and the PGPPM (Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management), each offering specialized topics of study.

Students also work on a live project, the Comprehensive Project, that helps them to apply learning from the programme to a real management problem or an impending business opportunity.
The Comprehensive Project, carried out under the direction of a faculty member, examines a contemporary live issue/topic pertaining to either a specific company or an industry. The objective of the project is to integrate classroom learning with practical experience, concepts and methodologies to real-world management issues. The comprehensive project carries three credits and it can be done jointly by a team of two or three students during the third term.
