The SJMSOM IIT Bombay Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme intends to achieve an optimum balance of Knowledge building, Perspective giving and Skill building courses. A mix of diverse teaching methods like case study, lecture and discussion, simulation games, collaborative and experiential learning is adapted to provide a holistic learning experience and a complete learning cycle.
The Two-year MBA programme is organized into eight terms. In the first year (first four terms), students gain knowledge on all the disciplines of management through 23 rigorous courses. In keeping with the vision of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) of providing quality equitable and accessible education to all, the University has established the Scholarship Support Cell which aims at providing information, support and guidance to the students on the application process for the Scholarships available from the University, the Alumni Association, and from external organisations. Students of Christ University School of Business and Management (SBM) can avail different scholarships offered.
The internal scholarships are provided by the University, the Alumni Association, organisations such as Goldman Sachs, and Earnst and Young who are collaborating with the University to provide scholarships to students such as visually Challenged, economically disadvantaged.
The external scholarships are provided by the Government of India, the State governments, Regulatory bodies such as University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Karnataka Labour Welfare Board, and philanthropic or community-based Organizations.
The Scholarship Support Cell of the University is a dedicated unit that supports students to apply for these scholarships. It also processes the applications received on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and State Scholarships Portals (SSP) and coordinates with the offices concerned for timely approval of the scholarship applications.
