SIES Mumbai PGDM is a 24-month full time program covered over six trimesters ensuring that the students are thoroughly skilled in at least one functional area while having more than a fundamental working knowledge of another. The PGDM course seeks to enhance the students learning by offering knowledge-building projects in each semester, while fine-tuning their leadership, communication and inter-personal skills.

A 2-week induction course is conducted for all the participants. The objective of this capsule is to ensure that all the students start off at the same level in terms of the minimum knowledge required to grasp the forthcoming lectures.

The PGDM Curriculum contemporary syllabus updated every year through a panel of experts. An induction module is conducted at the beginning of the program. Specializations are offered in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations & systems. The program has Regular and Quality based corporate integration in terms of Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Visiting Faculty, Corporate Interaction Series and Concurrent Projects. The program curriculum consists of Leadership development programs, Personality development programs, Entrepreneurial development programs, Foreign language (Business German) as an optional subject, Mandatory annual NGO project aimed at making the students socially sensitive corporate managers. The program fosters and nurtures a research environment and mentality in the students aimed at sharpening their analytical skills.

This comprehensive program comprises 14 distinct areas carefully designed to provide the  students with a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom, equipping them with practical skills and insights crucial for their academic, personal, and professional success. 

IRMA's Post Graduate Diploma Management (Rural Management) is developing professional managerial manpower for the underserved rural society through different kinds of organizations and institutions. This has been a path chosen by IRMA for the last more than four decades. The PGDM (RM) features a well-structured curriculum that integrates intellectual and experiential learning through classroom and field-based components. The introductory management courses are rooted in the philosophies of collectivism, cooperation, and conscious capitalism. Term I and Term II are required core courses for all PGDM (RM) participants. They pursue a blend of obligatory and elective courses from term III to term VI. 

XLRI PGDM BM curriculum lays the foundation for a conceptual and analytical understanding of Indian and international business. XLRI's BM programme is designed to closely integrate current management theory and practice. The course imparts knowledge and fosters attitudes essential for the growth of students into competent, responsible managers. In the first year of the XLRI PGDM BM programme, the students are offered core courses with case studies and practical learning through industry visits. Summer internship is an important part of the curriculum.

In the second year of the programme, students are taught core courses and also choose the preferred specializations from the bouquet of electives which include Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Supply chain, Entrepreneurship among others.  

IIMA is known for the depth and rigour of the programme. MBA curriculum is consistently reviewed and revised to keep it relevant and contemporary as per industry demand. The PGP curriculum is designed to meet three objectives:

- Equip students with the required conceptual and interpersonal skills and sense of social purpose for managerial decision-making,

The first year’s curriculum is compulsory and covers courses in the areas of accounting and finance, behavioural science, communication, economics, information technology, marketing, personnel management and industrial relations, operations management, law, strategy and quantitative methods. At the end of the first year, a student is required to do internship in an organization for a period of eight to ten weeks.

The second year courses provide the students with an opportunity to pursue studies in areas of special interest to them along with a few compulsory courses. These compulsory courses provide global and domestic context in the areas of entrepreneurship, environment and sustainability. The Institute has an exchange programme with over seventy-eight global institutes all over the world. Every year, more than one third of the batch spends a term at these premier management institutes abroad. The Institute also has an arrangement for Double Degree Programmes with six European Institutes. A student completing a Double Degree Programme receives the diploma/degree from IIMA as well as from the partner Institute. Graduates of the PGP will be awarded the degree of ‘Master of Business Administration’.

IIM Calcutta CEMS MIM curriculum is well-planned and designed effectively to ensure that the objective of combining academic knowledge with real-life business practices are met. Students get an opportunity to effectively utilize class-room knowledge in live business situations confronted by global enterprises regularly. Eventually when students graduate from their MIM program, they are armed with knowledge and the experience to perform effectively in their future assignments.
The course is integrated through 5 main categories:

BLOCK SEMINAR: The CEMS MIM program begins with an intensive and concentrated week long session for students called a Block Seminar. The seminar is based on an innovative management topic, which is developed and run by teachers from different disciplines of management with participation from Corporate Partners who bring in the practical aspects of learning. Block seminars are graded.
SKILL SEMINAR:  Skill Seminars are training seminars in practical skills relevant to an international management environment. Skill Seminars are organised primarily to introduce and impart practical skills required to function effectively in an international organisation. A total of two, 16 hour each, seminars are to be attended to complete the curriculum requirement.

BUSINESS PROJECT: Business projects have a flavour of a consultancy project wherein international student teams solve a real-life business problem faced by a company. 

INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP: Students are expected to undertake a minimum of 8 weeks international internship project outside the country of the home school. During the internship, students apply their academic knowledge to practical real-life situations faced in corporate environments.
