Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP), has a common application form for admission to two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs 2025-27 offered by all the four management institutes and all 26 MBA Specialisations/courses run therein. A student can opt for anyone, or more, or for all the courses of any MBA Institute or all four MBA Institutes. That is, a student can select a minimum of one and a maximum upto 26 MBA Specialisations/courses, in order of his / her preferences. All the courses are of equal status.

A candidate who meets the following admission criteria can apply to Sri Balaji University for the MBA program of his/her choice. A candidate desirous of admission to the MBA program should :
Be a UGC-recognized university graduate with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
Students currently in the final year of their graduation and confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply for the MBA courses. The admission committee may give more weightage to higher marks in graduation.
It is imperative that the candidate should have taken at least one exam out of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET. MAT exams held after Aug/Sept 2024 to May 2025 will be considered for admission to the academic year 2025-27. We believe that true talent cannot be judged based on the score granted by any entrance exam. Hence, we do not have a cut-off score below which if the candidate scores cannot apply to the program.
If an applicant lacks an Entrance Examination Score, has not taken the Entrance examination, or wishes to enhance the scores mentioned above, they may choose to participate in the

Cut Offs: Balaji University does not have any specific cut-off scores for CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MAH-CET. Balaji University gives only 35% of the weightage for the entrance examination while making the merit list.
Group Discussion Round: Candidates who meet the shortlisting requirements are called for the Group Discussion round. This will be for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies, and extempore speech and GD. 35% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. This is an elimination round.
Personal Interview Round: This expert panel interview and the essay marks will carry 30% of the weightage. This panel will assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidate for a particular specialization. The panel will also give the opportunity to the applicants to add or delete course options.

Candidates should submit the application form with the photostat copy of CAT / MAT / XAT / C-MAT / MAH-CET scores which will be verified during Personal Interview.
The latest MAT score which is available with the candidates can be submitted. It may be noted that we are not going to do our shortlisting based on the CAT / MAT / XAT /C-MAT / MAH-CET score alone, although weightage is allotted for the same.
Merit List: On completion of interviews, the performance of all candidates appearing for the interview is compared. A final merit list based on their overall performance is generated. The candidate is considered for the course which he has preferred according to the priority mentioned by him / her in the application form. In case, he / she is not selected for the course applied by him / her, then he / she will be considered for other courses and selected on merit.

MBA Business Analytics
MBA Business Analytics program at IIM Amritsar is a 2 year full time management programme. MBA BA programme is aimed at developing professionals who will be able to manage all functions and levels of businesses using their analytical and managerial knowledge and skills. The main skills considered in the design of course curriculum are Business Analytics Skills, Management skills and Industry specific skills.
Application process for admission at IIM Amritsar opens with the start of CAT registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. There is no need to apply and pay separately for IIM Amritsar Admission at this stage.
Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA BA program at IIM Amritsar is through CAT Exam and PI round. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA Business Analytics at IIM Amritsar is a three-step process- Pre shortlisting, Shortlisting, and participation in PI round
In the first step, candidates are screened as per the IIM Amritsar admission policy on performance in CAT exam and in the second step they are considered on various parameters for shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. After the PI round, IIM Amritsar prepares merit list for final admission as per its final selection weightages. Detailed Admission process is as below:

After the PI round, IIM Amritsar will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Amritsar to successful candidates.

MBA Business Analytics program curriculum focuses to develop professionals who will be able to manage all functions and levels of businesses using their analytical and managerial knowledge and skills. The First Year of the program offers a 2-week compulsory preparatory program for students to enhance their readiness for the MBA BA program; an Orientation program to familiarize students to the IIM way of learning and acquaints them with the infrastructure, services, and student activities at IIM Amritsar. The first year courses are compulsory and provide basic conceptual knowledge and analytical tools in different functional areas of management. All students undergo eight to ten weeks of summer internship after first year of the program. Summer internship helps students to apply their first year learning by doing organizationally sponsored projects. Student performance in their summer internships often result in final placement offers.
Second-year MBA BA comprises core courses in data analytics and the electives in Business Analytics spread across fourth, fifth and sixth term of the program. Students can also choose elective courses from among area specializations like Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems & Analytics, Production & Quantitative Methods, Business Strategy, Economics, and Communication. Additionally, students will also be required to go through a compulsory Capstone Project in the second year under the guidance of Institute faculty.
Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam. On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Amritsar MBA Business Analytics and other programs and select the interview city. Your application for IIM Amritsar admission is submitted. At this stage, you do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Amritsar Admission.
