IIM Indore DPM programme follows rigorous curriculum with award of course wise credits for each course. On completion of the course work, the participants take the area comprehensive examination (ACE). The area comprehensive examination tests whether the participant has obtained a satisfactory level of knowledge in his/her field of specialization and whether he/she has satisfactorily integrated the various courses taken in the area.

After passing the comprehensive examination, the participant enters the thesis stage. Each participant will be advised by a Thesis Advisory Committee (comprising 3 or 4 faculty members). The participant first develops a thesis proposal, for which he/she identifies a thesis topic. The Thesis Advisory Committee [TAC] of the participant arranges a public seminar on the thesis proposal for the IIM Indore academic community. After approval of the thesis proposal the participant works closely with the TAC on his/her thesis. On completion of the thesis research, the participant gives a public seminar, submits the thesis and defends the same.

The first three years of 5 years IPM programme focus on various management courses in undergraduate programme including Business Economics, Statistics, Ethics, Management theory and practice, Political science, Psychology, Public Policy, Governance among others. Industry visits, case study, interactive sessions, corporate internships are the key pedagogical tools of teaching. The last two years courses are same as that of IIM Indore flagship 2 years PGP programme. IIM Indore offers nine specialization areas to choose from, namely Economics, Finance & Accounting, Information systems, Marketing, Organization behavior & Human Resources, Operation management & Quantitative Techniques, Strategy, Communications, Humanities & Social Sciences 

IIM Indore students participate in a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities which include IRIS (The Annual Management & Cultural Festival) and Utsaha (Rural Marketing Fair). IIM Indore has exchange tie-ups with several prestigious international business schools. IIM Indore conducts Himalaya outbound programme for the final year students to enable them to perform in an unfamiliar ambience and work as a team. Rural immersion programme is conducted to enable the participants to understand the social context in which organizations work and exist. 
Students visit a company once a week in the fourth year of the Programme. They are required to carry out a study on various industries and key players in the industry. A unique matrix based structure in final year wherein participants take 10% credits in ‘Industry Vertical Courses’ and 10% credits in ‘Functional Area Courses’ in addition to the general management credits.  

XLRI PGDM HRM has major thrust areas in the programme on Human Resource Planning, Human Resource Information Systems, Selection, Performance Management, Training and Development, Compensation Administration and fostering harmonious employer - employee relationships in the framework of state regulations. 

Besides the PGDM HRM courses are directly related to HRM. The programme also includes a series of courses in various functional areas of management. Being a specialized programme it does not provide for further specialization. Students choose an appropriate mix of elective courses according to their preferences. Graduates of this programme are qualified for executive positions in Human Resources Development, Personnel Management, industrial Relations, Labour Welfare and other related areas. The alumni are occupying senior level positions in private and public sector organizations and in multinational companies in India and abroad.
 

XLRI Double Masters LSCM programme core courses in the business management help students appreciate the interdependency of the various functional areas and integrate them while addressing problems in the business context. The specialized courses on supply chain management help students to pursue specific courses dealing with the domain knowledge in the logistics and supply chain areas.
 
At the end of the first year, all students are required to undertake a project in an organization as an integral part of the curriculum in the areas of logistics and supply chain management. Students work on live assignments for various organizations which gives the students an opportunity to sharpen their knowledge and skills, develop better appreciation of the practical problems of business organizations in general and the management. 

Three-day team building component is compulsory for all the students of this program. The objective of the programme is to develop leadership and teamwork through exercises and assignments in the logistics and supply chain management areas.

XLRI's evaluation system is designed to continually assess the students' performance in relation to the required standards of academic achievement. Apart from examinations, a student's performance is assessed based on class participation, preparation of periodic assignments, mid-term tests and surprise quizzes. Minimum performance in the first year is also expected from the students to qualify to apply for the RBS Programme and for the scholarships as stipulated by the RBS, US.

The PGDM IEV at XLRI is designed to develop various skills and knowledge in the students though its rich curriculum and pedagogy. XLRI IEV employs a dynamic, hands-on approach in which each day is different. Students should anticipate two to four 90-minute lessons per day, five days per week. Students also engage in group projects, career counselling meetings, industry practicums, and extracurricular activities throughout the week.

The curriculum is based on the regular PGDM curriculum for business management but has been contextualized for startups. The core courses will cover all aspects of business fundamentals needed to run a business, and electives will the students to focus on specific learning needs. A large part of the course is designed around experiential learning, where students get an opportunity to validate and internalize the learning by applying it in the real world.

XCEED, the incubation centre at XLRI, supports the development of early-stage startup companies led by XLRI students, alumni, and faculty. XLRI incubator offers a comprehensive set of resources and services designed to assist entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into successful businesses. The PGDM GM program comprises of seven terms with duration of all terms ranges between 5 to 13 weeks depending on number of subjects in each term. Every term ends with an exam. The first 3 Terms are broadly focused on to build rudimentary management concepts across all disciplines. The 15 core courses offered during this time includes subjects from finance, economics, marketing, operations, strategy, business ethics and sustainable development. The remaining Terms of the program can be customized, allowing you to choose approximately 20 different electives that support your career and learning objectives. XLRI offers a rich and varied choice of 53 electives to choose from. The programme trains students to understand the problems of Rural India and address them in a better way. As such it is mandatory for students to spend a few days in the rural parts of India.

The PGDM BM Online course plan involves 714 hours of Scheduled Teaching Hours spread across core and elective courses. Total designed program content for the XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is for 1240 hours consisting of Scheduled Teaching Hours, Flexible Interactive Sessions, Industry Interface and Career Development Initiatives and Tutorial delivered on need basis. According to AICTE norms, selected students are expected to invest additional 1160 hours as Indicative Self Learning Hours in the form of pre-readings, assignments & individual reflections, individual exercises, e-texts, self-assessment etc. across all courses depending on personal strengths and weaknesses.

The programme also provides an opportunity to concentrate in one or two of the functional areas (viz. Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Production, Operations & Decision Sciences and Strategic Management). To fulfil the requirement of area(s) of concentration, a participant is required to successfully complete five electives (with highest scheduled teaching hours) offered from the concerned area. Participants also have the freedom to choose any of the offered electives that suit individual requirements without an area of concentration.
The XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is delivered online with three one week campus immersion modules during term I at start, term III and term V.
 

IIM Lucknow PGP curriculum is divided in six terms spread over two years. The First Year academic work, spread over three terms, is a compulsory package of 22 foundation (core) courses designed to provide basic knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques in various functional areas and relevant disciplines.

The two-month compulsory Summer Training in industrial and business organisations follows the first year course work. The summer training is aimed at providing exposure to the real life working environment. Students are required to work on specific, time-bound organisation related assignments.

The Second Year academic work, spread over three terms, comprises two compulsory courses of integrative nature along with a package of 15 elective courses of advanced and applied nature.
In the second year of the PGP Programme in Management, IIM Lucknow offers choice of Specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance & Accounts, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, IT & Systems, Business Environment, Communication, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, General Management.

IIM Lucknow PGP students have the opportunity to choose and participate in two workshops in their sixth semester. The students can register for two elective workshops from the list below: Sports Marketing – Marketing Area; Qualitative Market Research–Marketing Area; Framing Identity and Role through Exploration – HR area; Business of Entertainment – General Management; Capstone Business Simulation – General Management; Risk Management – Finance area; Personal Finance and Retail Banking – Finance area; Behavioral Finance – Finance Area

The curriculum of PGP ABM at IIM Lucknow is divided into six terms spread over two years. The First Year academic work, spread over three terms, is a compulsory package of 22 foundation (core) courses designed to provide basic knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques in various functional areas and relevant disciplines.

These provide students the opportunity to develop in depth understanding and concentration in the areas of their special interest. The students can also take up to two Courses of Independent Study (CIS) as elective, or one Dissertation Project which is equivalent to two elective courses spread over Term-V and Term-VI.

The specialization area of Agri Business Management covers sub specializations in Agri Marketing, Rural Marketing, Agri Finance among others

IIM Lucknow PGP SM curriculum is divided in six terms spread over two years. The curriculum of PGPSM is rigorous and includes specialized courses on sustainability from the first year itself, without missing out on the general management courses. In the second year, the students get exposure to sustainability in detail through well designed compulsory courses in Terms IV & V, and elective courses in Term VI. 

The second year has an integrated project for three terms (up to 9 months) as an integral part of the curriculum. With course work running in parallel, the students get a day off every week to work on live projects with industry. Periodic assessments by the faculty ensure that the students stay on track to meet project deliverables. The students get involved in projects in renewable energy, smart cities, resource optimization, green marketing, CSR portfolio management, etc. They are associated with leading organizations like Tata Sustainability Group, Soft Bank, NTPC, GIZ, ITC Infotech, Velluri Technology Accelerators, Vedanta and World Bank.

This unique aspect of the PGPSM curriculum has been well appreciated by recruiters. Firstly, the hands-on exposure gained through the integrated project gives the students a unique business orientation that goes beyond the confines of the class room. Secondly, recruiters often find the eight-week summer internship as too short an engagement to assign worthwhile projects and assess the suitability of a candidate.
