A two-year, full-time residential program, Amrita School of Business Amritapuri MBA is considered on par with the best in the world. SDMIMD Mysore Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship management program offered by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore. The program has been recognized as equivalent to MBA by Association of Indian Universities. 

SDMIMD PGDM Program offers specializations in Marketing, Systems, Finance, Operations, or Human Resource Management. Students have the option of dual specialization. 

SDMIMD PGDM curriculum is consistently updated as per industry requirement to enable the students to remain industry ready. Case Study based pedagogy using Harvard Business School’s publications & other reputed sources. SDMIMD uses the modern learner-centric pedagogies & instructional techniques and forges a presence in the emerging areas of management education. The PGDM program runs for six terms over two years with an acclaimed quality and academic rigour. Each of the 6 trimesters has a duration of 10 to 13 weeks. All the courses in the first year are compulsory core courses. The two-year Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGP) at IIM Indore is a full-time residential course for graduates from all disciplines who wish to choose a career in management. The PGP Programme at IIM Indore is highly ranked one. The Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management at IIM Indore aims to groom participants into competent professional managers with a capacity to learn and adapt to national and international environment. In the first year, students are offered core courses in management. Skill Development Courses including Communication, Leadership, Spreadsheet Modeling, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Innovation and Design Thinking and Sustainability are taught in a workshop-based format 

Students visit a company once a week in the first year of the Programme. They are required to carry out a study on various industries and key players in the industry. IIM Indore students participate in a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities which include IRIS (The Annual Management & Cultural Festival) and Utsaha (Rural Marketing Fair). Rural immersion programme is conducted to enable the participants to understand the social context in which organizations work and exist. 

In the second year, new curriculum features a large number of domain concentrations which consist of both regular courses taught by industry faculty and workshop courses taught by industry practitioners. The Programme has a unique matrix based structure wherein participants take 10% credits in ‘Industry Vertical Courses’ and 10% credits in ‘Functional Area Courses’ in addition to the general management credits.  

IIM Indore conducts Himalaya outbound programme for PGP-II students to motivate them to perform in an unfamiliar ambience and work as a team. IIM Indore has exchange tie-ups with several prestigious international business schools. A large number of students visit these business schools and complete one semester there 

An initiative to blend theory and practice is the hiring of professors of practice, which allows industry professionals with 15-20 years of experience to become a part of the IIM Indore full-time faculty. IIM Indore offers participant-centered approach to management education.

Curriculum

The PGP-HRM curriculum is spread over two years, each year consisting of three terms. The first year of the classes will take place along with PGP participants for most of the courses. The first year is a fundamental anchor of the programme and will provide a context of strong peer learning and appreciation of business issues. The second year will focus on specialized courses and industry projects. The second year of the programme enable the participants to interact closely with industry and business leaders while undertaking industry projects. At the end of the first year, the participant spends eight weeks on a summer project in a business organization, working in the domain of HRM and organizational leadership. 

The first-year curriculum comprises core courses which introduce participants to a range of functional areas of management. They also equip participants with the necessary tools and techniques that are required for a breadth of management decisions. There are a few specialised courses in Term III for PGP-HRM participants to enable them to acquire inputs pertaining to innovative and state of the art developments in the field of HRM.

While a few skill development courses (SDCs) are common with PGP participants, a large number of SDCs are specific to PGP-HRM participants to enable them to develop skills pertaining to research, analytics and psychometric instruments.

The concept of credit is used to compute the workload of a course. As a general rule, a four-credit course requires a commitment of about 100 hours from the participant of which 25 hours are to be spent in the classroom (usually 20 sessions of 75 minutes each) and the balance to be utilized for preparation and assignments. The courses carry one, two, three or four-credits.

The EPGP is structured to prepare executives for transformational leadership positions. During the intense one-year programme, they will work towards developing a deeper understanding of various facets of management and hone their managerial skills. The programme is spread over five academic terms in IIM Indore campus and one International Immersion module at one of the top-ranking international university. The first three terms (mostly composed of core courses) focus on laying the foundation for the specialisation through a bundle of electives offered in the other terms. An international module provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the global business environment and an ability to operate in a multicultural environment. The last two terms are mostly electives and other experiential learning.

The final admission to IIM Indore EPGP programme is based on the requirements of the programme. All matters pertaining to admission into the EPGP at IIM Indore is governed by the decisions taken by the Admissions Committee. Candidates will be short listed based on their profile and entrance exam score and final selection will be made based on various parameters as below:

Short-listing of candidates for the interview will be done on the basis of GMAT/GRE/CAT score and/or any other criteria as decided by the Admissions Committee for that academic year.
Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI).

  • Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted in offline/online mode through the Zoom application depending on the situation.
  • IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by the Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process.
  • Only the candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned above will be considered for the final selection. The merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table–1 and the provisional admission offers will be made.
Curriculum

EPGP consists of six segments, which are Orientation – Online HBS courses are offered to the students; Core Curriculum; Industry Consulting Module; International Immersion; Advanced Analytics Workshop; Elective courses; Simulation based learning. Normally the six terms are structured as mentioned above. 

The pedagogy will be a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, role-play, seminar presentations, assignments, management games, and simulations.

The programme is open to all nationalities. The Candidate must qualify on following eligibility criteria:

IIM Indore PGPX is two-year, alternate weekend Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives (PGPMX). Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree awarded to participants on successful completion of the programme.

Classes are conducted at IIM Indore’s Powai, Mumbai Campus. The Curriculum and rigour are similar to regular 2-year PGP. Distinguished Faculty from IIM Indore and industry will be teaching the programme. The programme entails International Immersion Programme. The programme offers Opportunity to network with peers from diverse industries

Admission to IIM Indore PGPMX programme will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted by IIM Indore on specified dates. The Aptitude Test will be held in the first half of the day on the specified date. It will be followed by Interviews. Candidates are advised to keep themselves free on all the dates announced for the Aptitude Test and interview.

Curriculum

The PGPMX comprises of a rigorous curriculum, exposes participants to experiential learning, and provides avenues for creative collaborations with their peers, faculty, and their organizations. The PGPMX is similar in content and rigor to our regular Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the classes are facilitated and taught by the same faculty. The objective of the programme is to provide participants with a platform to enhance their knowledge base, and hone their skills and competencies to grow higher in their career and to be a leader in their organizations.

The PGPMX innovative approach, need-based curriculum, powerful experiential learning, and experienced faculty deliver an integrated learning experience that is powerful enough to make a positive impact on the managerial career of the participants by maintaining high academic standards that is not just career-altering, but life-changing.

Academic input is delivered through two types of courses: core courses and elective courses. Core courses (Term 1 to 3) are compulsory for all participants. They provide participants with the fundamental conceptual knowledge, analytical skills and techniques, contextual understanding, environmental awareness and overall perspective, which serve as the base for the programme. The elective courses, which are offered in the second year (Term 4 to 6), give participants a deeper understanding of different functional areas and enable them to specialize in areas of their choice.

Step 1: Submission of Application:
All interested candidates should fill out the online application form.  After submission of the form, an acknowledgement with a system-generated Application Number will be sent to the email address provided. Login credentials with edit rights will also be provided to candidates in the same email. Candidates may edit their application form until the last date for submission of application form. Candidates are advised to save a copy of their application form after submission.

Incomplete application forms will not be considered. Candidates must complete all parts of the Application Form or explain in the form why a part has not been completed. This is important to be considered for admission to the program.

Step 2: Make Payment of Application Fee:
Candidates should pay the application fee of INR 5000/- online within one working day of submitting the online application form. Applications without payment of application fee will not be considered. The application fee is non-refundable.

The Doctoral Programme at IIM Indore is a unique doctoral programme in management. It is designed to provide both breadth and depth of knowledge to doctoral participants in management. The programme has two-fold objective of enabling the participants to master the relevant methodological tools of management research on one hand, and the advancement of the current body of management knowledge on the other. The DPM track offers prospects of a career within academia or in (research) positions outside the academia world. All DPM students are fully funded during the course of their study upto four years. Candidates seeking admissions to the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) of IIM Indore should submit their application online between the period end-November to mid-February and pay Rs.1000 towards application fee.

The candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) on the based information provided in the application form. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the academic eligibility criteria as mentioned above should submit their application online.

Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying Academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test the shortlisting will be done by the respective Areas and candidates will be called for Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted at IIM Indore during March / April

Stage 3: IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Stage-4.

Stage 4: Final selection will be based on the requirements of the academic area to which the candidate has applied and an area-wise offer list will be prepared.

Only the candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category-wise and Academic Area-wise merit list will be generated based on the performance in the Personal Interviews and the provisional admission offers will be made.

Curriculum

IIM Indore DPM programme follows rigorous curriculum with award of course wise credits for each course. On completion of the course work, the participants take the area comprehensive examination (ACE). The area comprehensive examination tests whether the participant has obtained a satisfactory level of knowledge in his/her field of specialization and whether he/she has satisfactorily integrated the various courses taken in the area.

After passing the comprehensive examination, the participant enters the thesis stage. Each participant will be advised by a Thesis Advisory Committee (comprising 3 or 4 faculty members). The participant first develops a thesis proposal, for which he/she identifies a thesis topic. The Thesis Advisory Committee [TAC] of the participant arranges a public seminar on the thesis proposal for the IIM Indore academic community. After approval of the thesis proposal the participant works closely with the TAC on his/her thesis. On completion of the thesis research, the participant gives a public seminar, submits the thesis and defends the same.

Currently the DPM students at IIM Indore are provided the fellowship grant/stipend of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) per month during their course work (Term-I, II III, IV and V) and Rs. 45,000/- (Rupees Forty-Five Thousand only) per month after clearing the area comprehensive examination as per norms. The maximum duration for which they can get stipend would be 57 months (4 years and 9 months).
A Research Development Grant of Rs. 37,500/- per annum for 4 years is also provided to DPM students for supporting the research efforts and is subject to the norms of the programme. The Institute subsidizes expenses for presenting papers in National Conference subject to a ceiling of Rs. 30,000/- per year with a provision that from second year onwards for attending n number of conference per year but subject to a cap for Rs.30,000/- per year. For International Conferences, the Institute subsidizes expenses subject to a ceiling of Rs. 2 lakhs with a provision of attending a maximum of two International Conferences plus International Doctoral Colloquium or International Professional Development Workshop during the entire period of the programme but not beyond five years
The DPM participant is entitled for free boarding and lodging on campus. Since the DPM is a full-time residential programme, bachelor accommodation is provided to all the participants in the Institute’s hostel on campus. Limited accommodation for married participants may be available on the campus on payment basis (subject to availability and other applicable rules of HS&A).

Launched by IIM Indore in 2011, the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is the first of its kind in India. The programme has been accredited by the AMBA London (4th and 5th Year). It is a unique and creative programme meant for young students with managerial and leadership aspirations. Through the IPM, IIM Indore seeks to attract young students, and mould them as outstanding leaders through a world-class education.

IIM Indore IPM is a Dual Degree Programme – BBA+MBA which you can pursue after passing class 12 and without appearing in CAT exam after completing 3 years of BBA degree. The Exit option from IPM program is available after completion of 3 years with Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) degree awarded by IIM Indore.

IIM Indore IPM admission process has 5 steps. The students will undergo a rigorous IIM Indore IPM selection process to get admission into IIM Indore IPM

Step 1-Register and Apply for IPMAT: You need to register and apply for IPMAT  exam which includes the IIM Indore IPM application form fee. The registration and application form is available at iimidr.ac.in/academic-programmes/five-year-integrated-programme-in-management-ipm

Step 2: Appear in Entrance Exam IPMAT: All the applicants have to appear in the IIM Indore IPMAT entrance examination. The exam tests the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics

Step 3: Shortlist for IIM Indore Selection Process: Those who clear the IPMAT exam cut offs will be shortlisted for further rounds of IIM IPM Indore Counselling  process. The shortlisted candidates need to appear for personal interviews.

Step 4: Personal Assessment Round: Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in Personal Assessment round. The personal assessment/interview judges the following in Applicants

  • Students’ level of confidence,
  • Communication skills,
  • General awareness
  • Persuasion skills and knowledge

Step 5: Generation of Final Selection List: Best 150 candidates who have done well in IPMAT, have good academics, perform well in personal interview, will be granted IIM Indore IPM Admission. Curriculum

The first three years of 5 years IPM programme focus on various management courses in undergraduate programme including Business Economics, Statistics, Ethics, Management theory and practice, Political science, Psychology, Public Policy, Governance among others. Industry visits, case study, interactive sessions, corporate internships are the key pedagogical tools of teaching. The last two years courses are same as that of IIM Indore flagship 2 years PGP programme. IIM Indore offers nine specialization areas to choose from, namely Economics, Finance & Accounting, Information systems, Marketing, Organization behavior & Human Resources, Operation management & Quantitative Techniques, Strategy, Communications, Humanities & Social Sciences 

IIM Indore students participate in a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities which include IRIS (The Annual Management & Cultural Festival) and Utsaha (Rural Marketing Fair). IIM Indore has exchange tie-ups with several prestigious international business schools. IIM Indore conducts Himalaya outbound programme for the final year students to enable them to perform in an unfamiliar ambience and work as a team. Rural immersion programme is conducted to enable the participants to understand the social context in which organizations work and exist. 
Students visit a company once a week in the fourth year of the Programme. They are required to carry out a study on various industries and key players in the industry. A unique matrix based structure in final year wherein participants take 10% credits in ‘Industry Vertical Courses’ and 10% credits in ‘Functional Area Courses’ in addition to the general management credits.

IPM Application form is released on official website of IIM Indore. IPM Application form fee is Rs. 4,130/- inclusive of GST for General, EWS and NC-OBC category candidates. For  SC, ST and PwD category  candidates the IPM application form fee is Rs.2,065/- inclusive of GST.  Application form fee has to be paid online and is non-refundable/non-transferable. Recommended browsers to fill the IPM application form are: Internet Explorer (version 10 and above), OR  Mozilla Firefox (version 52 and above), OR  Google Chrome (version 58 and above). Fields marked in IPM application form with * are mandatory. Candidate have to fill in the personal details first to receive the User Id and Password. User Id would be received in the registered email address and Password as SMS on the registered mobile number. IPM eligibility criteria require class 12th pass candidates or the class 12 appearing candidates. The candidates qualifying the following minimum eligibility for admission to 5 year IPM batch 

  • Candidate should be of maximum 20 years of age (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given)
  • Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination or appearing in the exam

Selection Process Description

IIM Indore IPM admission process has 5 steps. The students will undergo a rigorous IIM Indore IPM selection process to get admission into IIM Indore IPM

Step 1-Register and Apply for IPMAT: You need to register and apply for IPMAT  exam which includes the IIM Indore IPM application form fee. The registration and application form is available at iimidr.ac.in/academic-programmes/five-year-integrated-programme-in-management-ipm

Step 2: Appear in Entrance Exam IPMAT: All the applicants have to appear in the IIM Indore IPMAT entrance examination. The exam tests the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics

Step 3: Shortlist for IIM Indore Selection Process: Those who clear the IPMAT exam cut offs will be shortlisted for further rounds of IIM IPM Indore Counselling  process. The shortlisted candidates need to appear for personal interviews.

Step 4: Personal Assessment Round: Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in Personal Assessment round. The personal assessment/interview judges the following in Applicants

  • Students’ level of confidence,
  • Communication skills,
  • General awareness
  • Persuasion skills and knowledge

Step 5: Generation of Final Selection List: Best 150 candidates who have done well in IPMAT, have good academics, perform well in personal interview, will be granted IIM Indore IPM Admission. The final selection in IIM Indore IPM Admission will be based on Composite Score. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS)
