Launched in 2019, this is a premium PGDM offered by IMT Ghaziabad focusses on a specific ecosystem – banking and financial services. This large, growing, critical, international industry requires both an understanding of core management skills as well as significant domain expertise. The vision of the program is to make participants industry ready for not just day one for BFSI (Banking and financial services Industry), but to provide them with the conceptual and principles-based understanding that will future-proof their skillsets to meet the expected material disruption in this space over the next few years.
Following a full review of the program architecture and based on stakeholder feedback, the structure of the program was aligned with the dual goals of aligning closely with industry needs (immediate and in the medium term) as well as clearly differentiating it from the traditional PGDM Finance, in terms of content, design, and delivery.
Each course is now designed using a five-pillar approach – theory, practice, history, data and disruption. Significant industry input into curriculum design, as well as delivery, is expected to help us stay relevant to changing industry needs. We have also created a themed set of linked courses (6-10 on each theme), focusing on specific areas such as risk management in financial services, digital/data/disruption to ensure that topics are dealt with in-depth rather than at a superficial level. The delivery of the course is being handled by BFSI practitioners and IMT Ghaziabad core faculty.

This comprehensive six-week program encompasses around 100 contact hours. The IMI Delhi PGDM is a two-year, full-time residential programme and the flagship of IMI Delhi. From Admission 2027, the programme follows a new curriculum that IMI describes as "co-created with industry, benchmarked globally". AI is built into every course, career track and term. The PGDM (B&FS) at IMI Delhi was designed for the growing need for management professionals in banking and financial services. Its aim is to build managers who combine technical and managerial skills with a global mindset. The programme runs for two years over six terms and is residential. Teaching mixes lectures, case discussions, presentations, assignments and project work, with the emphasis on interactive, participative learning. The two-year Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGP) at IIM Indore is a full-time residential course for graduates from all disciplines who wish to choose a career in management. The Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management at IIM Indore aims to groom participants into competent professional managers with a capacity to learn and adapt to national and international environment. In the first year, students are offered core courses in management. Skill Development Courses including Communication, Leadership, Spreadsheet Modeling, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Innovation and Design Thinking and Sustainability are taught in a workshop-based format
Students visit a company once a week in the first year of the Programme. They are required to carry out a study on various industries and key players in the industry. The PGP-HRM curriculum is spread over two years, each year consisting of three terms. The first year of the classes will take place along with PGP participants for most of the courses. The first year is a fundamental anchor of the programme and will provide a context of strong peer learning and appreciation of business issues. The second year will focus on specialized courses and industry projects. The second year of the programme enable the participants to interact closely with industry and business leaders while undertaking industry projects. At the end of the first year, the participant spends eight weeks on a summer project in a business organization, working in the domain of HRM and organizational leadership.
The first-year curriculum comprises core courses which introduce participants to a range of functional areas of management. They also equip participants with the necessary tools and techniques that are required for a breadth of management decisions. Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP)
The EPGP is structured to prepare executives for transformational leadership positions. During the intense one-year programme, they will work towards developing a deeper understanding of various facets of management and hone their managerial skills. The programme is spread over five academic terms in IIM Indore campus and one International Immersion module at one of the top-ranking international university. The first three terms (mostly composed of core courses) focus on laying the foundation for the specialisation through a bundle of electives offered in the other terms. An international module provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the global business environment and an ability to operate in a multicultural environment. The last two terms are mostly electives and other experiential learning.

The pedagogy will be a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, role-play, seminar presentations, assignments, management games, and simulations.

Classes are conducted at IIM Indore’s Powai, Mumbai Campus. The Curriculum and rigour are similar to regular 2-year PGP. Academic input is delivered through two types of courses: core courses and elective courses. Core courses (Term 1 to 3) are compulsory for all participants. They provide participants with the fundamental conceptual knowledge, analytical skills and techniques, contextual understanding, environmental awareness and overall perspective, which serve as the base for the programme. The elective courses, which are offered in the second year (Term 4 to 6), give participants a deeper understanding of different functional areas and enable them to specialize in areas of their choice.
The application should be submitted online at the IIM Indore PGPMX admission website. Step by step process how to apply for admission is given below:
Step 1: Submission of Application:
All interested candidates should fill out the online application form. After submission of the form, an acknowledgement with a system-generated Application Number will be sent to the email address provided. Login credentials with edit rights will also be provided to candidates in the same email. Candidates may edit their application form until the last date for submission of application form. Candidates are advised to save a copy of their application form after submission.
Incomplete application forms will not be considered. Candidates must complete all parts of the Application Form or explain in the form why a part has not been completed. This is important to be considered for admission to the program.
Step 2: Make Payment of Application Fee:
Candidates should pay the application fee of INR 5000/- online within one working day of submitting the online application form. Applications without payment of application fee will not be considered. The application fee is non-refundable.
The IIM Indore two-year, alternate weekend Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives PGPMX, offered in Mumbai, is uniquely designed for working executives and entrepreneurs, who would like to take the opportunity to become transformational leaders and innovative solution creators in their respective organizations, but find it difficult to pursue a full-time programme in management. PGPMX is designed to provide flexibility to working executives to be engaged in their respective professions and at the same time to upgrade their knowledge . Successful completion of the Programme would lead to the award of Master of Business Administration degree. PGPMX Eligibility criteria have following key requirements for admission:
- The candidate must have A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- The percentage of marks obtained at the bachelor’s degree or the preceding degree should be minimum 50 or equivalent CGPA.
- Completed at least 5 years of full time managerial/professional experience after bachelor’s degree as on the last date for submission of applications.
- The programme is open to all nationalities.
- Candidate should appear in Aptitude Test & Interview
Admission to IIM Indore PGPMX programme will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted by IIM Indore on specified dates. The Aptitude Test will be held in the first half of the day on the specified date. It will be followed by Interviews. While interviews of some candidates will be held on the same day of the Aptitude Test, others will be invited for interviews on other dates announced for the interviews. Candidates are advised to keep themselves free on all the dates announced for the Aptitude Test and interview.
Admission Offers will be made to candidates based on the overall performance in the Aptitude Test and interview, within a week of the conclusion of interviews. The Admission Offer letters will be sent through email. The candidates are, therefore, advised to check their emails regularly after the interviews are completed.
Candidates who are offered admission to PGPMX will be required to accept the Admission Offer in the prescribed format, within the date specified in the Admission Offer Letter. The format will be sent with the Offer of Admission.
The candidates will be required to submit a duly filled in and signed Registration Form on the date of registration. More details about registration will be sent along with the Admission Offer Letter.
Doctoral Programme in Management
The Doctoral Programme at IIM Indore is a unique doctoral programme in management. It is designed to provide both breadth and depth of knowledge to doctoral participants in management. The programme has two-fold objective of enabling the participants to master the relevant methodological tools of management research on one hand, and the advancement of the current body of management knowledge on the other. The DPM track offers prospects of a career within academia or in (research) positions outside the academia world. Programme’s rigorous curriculum provides ample training for an academic career and gives participants the opportunity to make an indelible mark on the research activity in their respective field. The programme offers specialization in various areas of management. Candidate can choose one specialization out of them.
All DPM students are fully funded during the course of their study upto four years. DPM Learning goals include enabling the participants to understand the foundations of management, management research and relevant research methodologies; Enabling participants to create a perspective on existing body of management thought and contribute to it, To develop researchers with high ethical standards in research work, To understand the need and significance of various pedagogical tools used in management education and to be an effective communicator.
Candidates seeking admissions to the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) of IIM Indore should submit their application online between the period end-November to mid-February and pay Rs.1000 towards application fee.
The candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) on the based information provided in the application form. The selection process is as follows:
Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the academic eligibility criteria as mentioned above should submit their application online.
Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying Academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test the shortlisting will be done by the respective Areas and candidates will be called for Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted at IIM Indore during March / April
Stage 3: IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Stage-4.
Stage 4: Final selection will be based on the requirements of the academic area to which the candidate has applied and an area-wise offer list will be prepared.
Only the candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category-wise and Academic Area-wise merit list will be generated based on the performance in the Personal Interviews and the provisional admission offers will be made.
All matters pertaining to admission into the DPM at IIM Indore is governed by the decisions taken by the Admissions Committee.
IIM Indore DPM programme follows rigorous curriculum with award of course wise credits for each course. On completion of the course work, the participants take the area comprehensive examination (ACE). The area comprehensive examination tests whether the participant has obtained a satisfactory level of knowledge in his/her field of specialization and whether he/she has satisfactorily integrated the various courses taken in the area.
After passing the comprehensive examination, the participant enters the thesis stage. Each participant will be advised by a Thesis Advisory Committee (comprising 3 or 4 faculty members). The participant first develops a thesis proposal, for which he/she identifies a thesis topic. The Thesis Advisory Committee [TAC] of the participant arranges a public seminar on the thesis proposal for the IIM Indore academic community. After approval of the thesis proposal the participant works closely with the TAC on his/her thesis. On completion of the thesis research, the participant gives a public seminar, submits the thesis and defends the same.
Candidates seeking admissions to the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) of IIM Indore should submit their application online between the period end-November to mid-February, and pay the online non‐refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) + GST extra for General, NC-OBC and EWS category and Rs. 500/-(Rupees five hundred only) + GST extra for SC, ST, and PWD category.
Candidates belonging to NC‐OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories need to produce a valid certificate(s) in support of their reservation category. No change in the category will be entertained after submitting the application.
- A Candidates applying for IIM Indore DPM Admission must have Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade; or Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) with at least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent; or Professional qualifications CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50% marks; or 5 year
- integrated Master’s degree program in any discipline, with at least 60% marks or equivalent; or First Class/ equivalent Bachelor’s degree year/8 semesters).
- A minimum 60% marks in Secondary (Class X) and Senior Secondary (Class XII) is required.
- 5% Marks relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates
- Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying programmes can also apply.
- The candidates who have applied on the basis of their bachelor’s or master’s
- degree will have to meet the eligibility criteria
- The equivalence of the foreign degree needs to be certified by the Association of
- Indian Universities.
- The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate
- must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher
- secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
- Acceptable Standard Test Scores are CAT, GRE, GMAT of last 5 years and JRF of last 3 years.
Currently the DPM students at IIM Indore are provided the fellowship grant/stipend of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) per month during their course work (Term-I, II III, IV and V) and Rs. 45,000/- (Rupees Forty-Five Thousand only) per month after clearing the area comprehensive examination as per norms. The maximum duration for which they can get stipend would be 57 months (4 years and 9 months).
A Research Development Grant of Rs. 37,500/- per annum for 4 years is also provided to DPM students for supporting the research efforts and is subject to the norms of the programme. The Institute subsidizes expenses for presenting papers in National Conference subject to a ceiling of Rs. 30,000/- per year with a provision that from second year onwards for attending n number of conference per year but subject to a cap for Rs.30,000/- per year. For International Conferences, the Institute subsidizes expenses subject to a ceiling of Rs. 2 lakhs with a provision of attending a maximum of two International Conferences plus International Doctoral Colloquium or International Professional Development Workshop during the entire period of the programme but not beyond five years
The DPM participant is entitled for free boarding and lodging on campus. Since the DPM is a full-time residential programme, bachelor accommodation is provided to all the participants in the Institute’s hostel on campus. Limited accommodation for married participants may be available on the campus on payment basis (subject to availability and other applicable rules of HS&A).
